Does PL run the risk of being outlawed by the new ToS?

There is a flap going on about the new ToS as it pertains to impersonating people. Scamming, it seems, is a dying art.
As I was following this debate, I had this uncomfortable idea.

Consider this picture: The Sphere Dev Team @ Reykjavik's exquisite Laundromat, it features some fine gentlemen, members of the venerable Pandemic Legion. The picture was taken in Reykjavik this year.

It will not be immediately obvious but if you zoom in a little on the shoulder of the pilot on the left, I'm sorry I do not have his name, if you should be reading this: greetings to you good sir, you will see that the sleeve reads "CCCP". This is in line with how the Sphere Dev team presents itself to the world. They also wore this attire at last year's fanfest.

Here they are mimicking CCP's Developer's shirts and logos. This must be as close to impersonation as you can get in the real world.

Query: is this a violation of the new ToS and can PL be sanctioned over wearing the attire at a public gathering such as fanfest?

I would like an answer to this question because it could become quite the conundrum as EVE's culture permeates our engagement with the environment and finds expression in how we behave, dress and interact with one another.

If they wore that to the fanfest and was seen by developers don't you think something would of happened by now? Probably, but since nothing has changed in the TOS those that don't understand the logistics behind it just to protect their ass more but doesn't mean they'll act on anything.

Are you saying that they're not actually a vessel for world-wide virulent diseases, and are misrepresenting themselves as such?

Too far removed - nobody should be fooled by "CCCP" as a fashion statement which is not intended to signify anything more important than that.

In Soviet Russia, Politburo scams you.

There's real reasons why your Eve character doesn't do /dance.

Best summary of the situation so far.

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

I would think when the Dev team said there would be no change in how impersonation issues are handled your question would have been answered. Blink

Wearing personal attire in a public place........not really the realms of CCP is it?

But there's the rub: the point of the shirt was that it would be worn at fanfest and have at least a passing resemblance to the attire of the devs.

I'm not going to say that this will make the people at fanfest develop a chronic case of the stupid, at the same time, because this is EVE-related, at an EVE event, does -CCP- think this is a violation of the EULA? It doesn't matter what -we- think, it matters what -they- think. Hence this post.

When you start down the slippery slope, and there are examples aplenty, implied conditions start popping up in surprising places. The point here being: what is the reach of the ToS and what if our intrepid pod pilots come up with a new and exciting caper that will have all of us beaming with a bout of well-deserved mirth and CCP frowning about whether or not this [whatever 'this' is] should be allowed under the ToS?
