Rats spawning in data site

Hi,

hope this is the correct place to post this.

It was my understanding that rats were completely removed from data sites.

After failing my first attemt on a can in a 'Abandoned Research Complex DA005' (null, drone regions) 3 drone frigs popped up. Not sure if this is a bug, or an intended feature. Suffice to say I've fitted a gun to my scanning ship again :)

can anyone at least confirm or deny if rats should have disappeared from all the data sites? (except for W-space)

i can confirm that they were supposed to be all gone. Now whether or not them spawning in response to hacking attempts is a leftover bug/intended I cant answer.

Yea, I just found 'Abandoned Research Complex dg027' in Perrigrin Falls - had 3 rats in it and what looked like an attempt on a can

they did mention during fanfest that rats could spawn in Data/relic sites in response to failure to open the cans

This is still the case, but only in Drone sites. On a failure, rats will spawn. I've posted a thread with feedback on the Drone Data/Relic sites here, and it links to a few previous reports of this:
