Issues, Workarounds & Localization

I recently suffered a powerblink failure on my system while playing EVE. I know this can prevented in the most part by using a surge protector, however I was not on one when this event occured. Upon reboot, the main pvp character I was using lost all his ui, shortcuts, and overviews, essentially reverting them all back to default. I was on a low sec roam at the time and thankfully I was in the middle of docking at a 0.5 system station when it happened. Fortunately, my bookmarks, fittings, and notes were all safe.

From what I gathered from petitioning a GM, there is a backup system for client failures. Since my situation was complete system failure and memory loss, it did not allow for the client's back up system to take affect. The backup folder was never saved and I am left with no resort but to reconfigure all my settings for that character.

This occurance isn't too much of a problem as it should take no more than an hour to recustomize my main's settings, but I am inclined to ask for a better back up system for the game in regards to character settings. This backup system should support session based saving from the last safe exit of client I feel. There should always be an easy way to revert to previous settings. A good place to put a previous session settings reset button would be in the escape menu's reset tab along with all the default and cache clearing options.

Those are my feelings on the matter. I hope this matter can be givin some attention as I have seen others who have been through similar situation with no ability to fix it. Thank you for your time.

Not sure I just figured out the whole export overview stuff by myself the other day. sigh
