Yeah, but I'd rather see it officially on the company's materials over Wikipedia. Probably helps to read the OP and you'd have seen that I was looking for the info on the company website. Maybe then you'll look like less of an idiot.
The official registered company name of CCP Games is CCP hf. CCP was an acronym for Crowd Control Productions but is now the non-acronymous name, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acronym#Pseudo-acronyms.

My theory is that if all those Apergians out there didn't have rocks to mine or gates to camp (because you need to be on Ritalin to do those things for hours on end without jumping out a window) we would have RL warp drives already and the human race would be broken out from the surly bonds of both the planet and the illuminati who control it.
"Firefly" would be a reality - and heck we can't even have that as a fictional series the PTB will be damned if that ever becomes halfway to being reality.

Tin foil for sale....

Seriously, back in my day, when we fought off dinosaurs with really huge cell phones, it was common to key new cars, shoot pellet guns at the windows, or other kinds of RL "griefing". So sometimes I think that for every indy getting ganked, there is something nice in the real world that is not being vandalized. As society continues its collapse, the "Crowd" needs to be kept under tighter "Control". Hence this may well be the virtual construct or a kind of matrix for that kind of personality which is becoming epidemic.

At best, cruelty practiced in a game does not advance like it does in RL, hence more miscreants in MMOs means less people on the streets wearing brown or red shirts and working for some madman.

Bring back DEEEEP Space!
