Pend Insurance says over 500m - got 9m?

When I mentioned I lost my Tengu from a gank squad in a wormhole, and linked killmail, I was told to stfu because the Pend Insurance payout was listed as 596.5 million... but my wallet says 8.7 million was paid by my insurance. (My fault kinda, I shouldn't have shot at the lone cruiser and gave it a chance to scramble me without thinking "OH HEY, WHY would a LONE cruiser be in a wormhole? Probably has backup!" Just like I thought once when I saw a "lone" caracal on my D scan before. Odd, though, how none of the 5 cruisers showed up on my Dscan until they were right there in the combat site I was at.)

Anyway, if the answer as to why the "Pend Insurance" amount is so VASTLY different than the insurance paid, then why won't CCP fix that? Seems kind of... bad programming.

Also, can pods not warp instantly? As soon as my Tengu exploded, I was hammering the "Warp To" button and sat there not moving at all.

Wrong forum section, this is for sharing media.

You were bubbled by a HIC (the Onyx), thus the pod couldn't insta-warp.
Frankly I can't trust that you dscanned frequently enough, or didn't move around the system so as to allow the others to move cloaky ships to your combat site. And the pilgrim at least can warp cloaked.
None of them can lock you instantly/without decloak delay, so you should have just warped off when they arrived on grid. Also you're bad for not having an AB.

Had you let an alt/friend board your tengu, as this will void the insurance iirc?

I fail to see how an AB would have helped in that situation. No one else boarded it but myself, and I guess the warp bubble animation didn't load (occasionally I'll get a texture that won't load in various games for a moment or 3). Didn't see one, or I wouldn't have been surprised.

I had arrived at the third combat site I was doing of the wormhole no more than a few minutes before it happened, and hit the Dscanner every few seconds when in a wormhole.

Edit: Also, wasn't sure where to post the thread. There seemed no section for "Possible bug?" or "General" :T

the "pend insurance estimate" is an estimate of your ship loss amount.

did you really think you were getting 500m back from insurance?!??!!??!

Edit: and an AB would mean you'd need less tank modules. Everything in the game cares about speed & position.

No, of course not. Re-read the first post. Others thought that I got paid that much, and the listed number was confusing. Recently learned that the number shown (I think) is the cost of fitted modules. Would make sense.

Ma'am, your POD is a ~3-5second session change right after you're destroyed, afterwards you can execute Warp. Spamming warp just delays alignment and response times repeating over and over.

Also, Insurance sucks and never worth purchasing so long as you're wealthy. Just don't fly what you can't replace from your wallet alone.

Yep. Thought I was doing that last night, but the cost of one of my implants pretty much doubled, or I remembered it incorrectly, rendering me broke after that. Jump clones in wormholes from now on. >_>

Insurance for T3's are worthless, hardly enough to pay for a sub even with highest payout. Don't know where you got 596.5 (T3 highest payout is something like less than 10mil last I checked), maybe that's what you paid for when you got the tengu? Insurance is really only worth it for T1's.
