Had a fun one today.

In the second siege of Carthago while bitter fighting was happening at a breached gate I saw a shadow cross the battle. I zoomed out and saw one of their transport ships flying in the sky.

These Africans are crafty.

lol that's awesome. i haven't seen anything like that yet. you should have saved the battle replay or grabbed a screenshot at least. my a.i bugs are things like...i'm defending with a mainly infantry composed army and the computer comes to attack me. but as they approach i hit the dreaded phalanx and brace buttons...

and the computer enemy wigs out. "oh, ****! she's pressed the phalanx button...quick! try to go retardedly all the way around the line and attack the archers in the back...that will work. oh, geez! where did this cavalry smashing us in the flank come from? oh, they were sitting there the whole time and we ignored them as we tried to avoid the phalanx. it's a route! run for your lives!"

it doesn't happen all the time but when it does it is fairly noticeable. for the record i should state i am currently playing on normal difficulty. i usually go through my total war games on normal the first campaign then work up to the harder lvls.

Yea I have had a few battles where I have had my hoplites set up in square formation with a second rank behind in phalanx. The enemy hits my front rank, files through the gaps and hits the a wall of spears that stops them dead. I then move my swordsmen around the flanks and just start carving up. Cavalry hits their slingers and javelin troops and my elephant general keeps their cavalry away just by being there throwing javelins into the mess before him.

I had a few glitches last night especially when I goto the diplomacy window I can open it but its in black and white while it locks my computer up.

Right now Im approx 200 roles into a campaign and every faction has declared war on me with no allies. I love it.
