We've been waiting for CREST and the Eve SSO for a fair time now, with suggestions that they'd be out soon™ being reiterated at both fanfests.

I understand that the licensing for the Full CREST integration is a fairly complex matter, with all the worldwide legal regimes you have to deal with.

How about, instead of tying the entire thing to the developers license, you release just the SSO, with an alternate license agreement? That appears like it should be simpler to do, with all the big companies out there having already done it? (Twitter, facebook, etc)


While we'd love to get our grubby little hands on CREST, the SSO is also a major feature we'd like.



It's getting to the point I'm semi-considering writing my own for general use.

I'm waiting to see the CSM minutes on this topic. We know that SSO has been a large goal of the CCP Security division, and they had some facetime with the CSM at the latest summit. I would not be surprised if we see SSO listed in the minutes for that discussion, and would also not be surprised to see it in the winter expansion. The recent changes to email (and seeing all the accounts associated with that email address) seem to be a strong step towards/indication of SSO code being written and integrated.
