get the blueprint of their choosing researched? price would be 200,00isk per hour it takes for the me/pe they want+original blueprint price. I know ppl buy them in contracts but i dont have enough money to guess and hope it sells, so this way I shouldnt have money tied up.

Thanks

I believe in the sell orders forum, there are people that do this as a business. If you're a bit isk poor, then it might not be great starting out, as i believe you buy the BPO from your customer, then sell it back to them when you're done.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

The most benefit for ME research is from the first 5 ME, most BPO's to not gain much per ME beyond 10 as 10 will bring most BPO's below 1% waste. perfect ME can be over 100, but the first 10 reduces waste by about 9% while the other 90 only takes it down to about 0.1%

What I am getting at here is if you want to produce researched BPO's that will sell fast just get them to ME 10 and sell them. fast turn around, and your mark up will not price you out of the market. Selling BPO's with perfect ME takes research as each BPO has a different perfect ME level, and many are not willing to pay for all that extra time to gain only a fraction of a % in waste reduction. The first 10 is the most bang for your buck, and the fast turn around will keep your pockets full.

Your next best option isd to get a bunch of expensive BPO's and research them to a perfect ME level. then make and sell max run copies, but keep the researched BPO. This way you can continue to make isk off it thru copies, until someone comes along will to pay you what the perfect ME BPO is worth.

I used both methods when I was running my high sec research POS. I have a decent stack of perfect ME BPO's I use for my own manufacturing, but when not in use, I will throw them in to make some copies. So even when not in use my BPO's are making me isk. If I get to a point where I have a large stack of BPC's that are not selling I will buy a couple new BPO's and change it up a bit.

researching BPO's is always a good investment, as you will always get back most of what you have into them, and can make isk off them while they sit in your hanger, either though manufacturing, or making copies.

When you build up your isk reserves (HAHAHA sorry) you can also start selling bpc's in contracts. Find specific fits and package accordingly don't forget the Description field too, filling this out can improve turnover if you tell people exactly what the fit is designed for.

'Advertising' by having a presence on the contract market might help attract more regular customers too - those that don't want to buy bpo's and be responsible for them for example, but can certainly live with a few bpc's on a regular basis.

Anyway - good luck in the endeavour.

Actually me 9 is the me to reduce from 10% to 1% waste though depending on the bpo it may be less due to rounding but be aware there are many bpos that will still get noticeable changes beyond me 10 and most people will reseach beyond that Battleships and Capital Construction come to mind and there are some BPOS that are completely pointless to research me on such as compression blueprints. do not trust generalized statements like this look at what the research will really do.

If you don't have much isk, look at the market in your area for modules that sell a lot of, buy a BPO or two, research them to a decent level, and crank out some copies that are competitively priced (ie, undercut the market). Make SURE you have your costs optimized, otherwise you're already losing money.
