Zulu is leaving for Riot as well.

I wonder if he will bring over the $1000 pants to them. ;)

While I agree, her plans are ambitious...those plans were revealed during Fanfest...not exactly the best place to place bets. Remember those POS changes? Weren't they a "Fanfest reveal?" Where are those?

And everything I mentioned above has happened since, so we don't even know if those "grand ideas" will come to fruition at this point.

While I would love to have your optimism, what has CCP done to stoke that optimism? Not only for me, but for those posting in the TOS thread. Or the Sean Decker thread? So on and so forth.

Once you realize what a joke everything is, being the comedian is the only thing that makes sense.

While I'm generally a optimistic person, I agree... my remark wasn't really an optimistic one, rather a skeptic one. I mean, which of the numerous plans we have seen on Fanfest over the years have actually come to fruition? I still HOPE this "big plan" will come, and really enrich the game... but... yea.

I am unfamiliar with this Sean Decker (but all too familiar with the TOS debacle), please enlighten me.

Sean Decker is the EA guy who was previously head of EA's P2W division. He is now the Senior VP of CCP.

Yea... I refrained from speculating about this for now... let's just say: EA knows how to make games mass market compatible, and Decker was responsible for EA's f2p games for the last couple of years. By the way, they also hired Owen O'Brien (ex-DICE) for their Valkyrie team.

I'd say, for now, everything is undecided...

Or Hilmar has gotten greedy again. That is something I would not wish the playerbase to forget in a hurry, especially since we now have the type of people in senior management who would ignore the community protests.

Major changes to the point of nerfing a distinct play style that was particularly "dark and harsh" in a game that is supposed to be particularly "dark and harsh."

"Former" EA employees filling up the ranks.

Scamming isn't dark and harsh, it's exploiting the less gifted, you know, people kinda like you.

When will the customers who have kept this game afloat, and attracted new players, via the events they created (i.e. Burn Jita, 6VDT, so on and so on), be given an idea where the game is heading?

Ever?

According to the communication from CCP, pretty much to the same direction as ever. Do you fancy tinfoil garments?

Quote:
Or will we just continue to get spin on the level of The Mittani spinning the Fountain War? You do remember The Mittani, right? One of your players?

Does he still play? CCP did remember Vile Rat, again. One of their players.

Quote:
Or did you simply forget that EVE Online exists, because literally all you have done for the game is switch lines of codes for close to 4 expansions now, without adding any really meaningful content?

Ship rebalancing has produced tons of meaningful content and it hasn't stopped. You know, pvp game and all that ****.

Quote:
It is bad when even CSM members (our voice) are questioning things like the TOS changes, and are not getting proper responses...just more spin.

I think it is time for a press release, giving a state of affairs, or at least some sort of reassurance that the game we are playing is not headed into the shitter. That would be great..............for a change.

If CCP made a press release every time some tard posted an EVE is dying thread, they'd need 200 copywriters working 24/7 and would still miss a few.

Indeed, behavior is unlikely to change. Perhaps they were simply waiting to "strike while the iron is hot" so to say - another thing I worry about is the culture in CCP's studio, especially as a lot of big business Senior VPs and Devs are brought in.

I don't fault CCP for trying to make a profit, or even increasing margins, but they need to be very careful when they do so. They've already been exposed to how fickle MMO fanbases can be - it's an intriguing market that requires very special care.

The 47 pages of the TOS rage would make you believe otherwise, smart one.

Or the additional 45 pages in the Decker thread.

This isn't my issue, this is every person who has invested serious time into this games' issue.

And all they have done for months is spin.

There current player base might need super special care but the average MMO market does not. Just look at the ton of financially succesfull MMO out there. EVE is a proof that you don;t ahve to be like others to be succesfull but there is also the proff that you can be unlike current EVE and be succesfull. It's a question of $$$ at the end.

If you get your panties in a bunch over the time you "invested" in a game, the problem is not in CCP's office.
