Precisely. OP is probably unaware, but the skillpoint and ISK schematics involved in the flying of a Freighter are beyond anything someone entitled to the title of "Rookie" can hope having/understanding.

Maybe a setting on your Safety thing. It automatically prevents you from targeting a new char in a rookie system. And to be fair, automatically prevents the new char in a rookie system from targeting anything but a rock or a red cross.

If you do that, please replace the rats and ores in rookie systems with training ore/rats, with no bounty and no use other than to carry to station to show how to haul, to prevent material gained in complete safety from entering the economy.

Of course that would contradict the sandbox. But since a complete safe haven already breaks the box, it doesn't hurt much to add further restrictions to them to prevent further "contamination" of the sandbox outside the safe systems.

you would have to load quite a bit of value in a hauler or freighter to attract a gank, or you attracted attention in another way and its a retaliation gank but if that's the case they would gank you in whatever your flying.
