I think the real reason harry wants this arena thing where he does not actually loose his ships.

He just does not have the isk to support all these losses. Also Harry, that typhoon loss with the very very bad fit is very funny.

So he wants a place to pvp, loose... and then his ships is magically transported back to his hanger where he can continue again.

I want the game to become more complex because of the gameplay, you guys want the game to be a pain in the ass because of repetitive tasks

thats the main difference

complexity should be added to the game because of more options and contend, not in the way of making easy things difficult

I don't do any repetitive tasks. All my ISK comes from PVP. I just shoot people.. people pay me to go away.

I have made enough isk with PVP to last me for a very...very long time. Yes, I am not as rich as others in this game but for what I do... I have more than enough.

Completely valid... but other ways of making money should be equally "easy" and interesting to pursue.

Then instead of people wanted a no loss PVP environment maybe they should look at making isk easier.

It really is not that hard to make billions.. people are just lazy.

The only things I see in any and all of Harry post is not to help people but help himself. Because he is to lazy or he finds things to difficult. That is all I read in his post.

On another note... it might be harder for others to make isk the way I do it. Apparently I have a reputation which helps a lot in making people pay.

You know why this game is amazing? Because content is not directly handed by the developers. They give you a pixelated universe, codes for ships, and graphics for guns, and you can do whatever you want with it.

Right now on the test server a group of guys are actually holding a periodic tournament called the SCL (syndicate competitive league I think). They are just a group of players that decided hey arenas are fun, so that is what they did. Not only that but CCP actually helped them do it and actually sponsored them, because they aren't whiny little kids that want everything handed to them, you can go create a panda character in another game if that is your cup of tea.

So if you want arena fights you can make a team and participate in that league, or you know create a league of your own, the tools are all there, the only limit is your imagination (and sometimes CCP's terrible mechanics , but only sometimes)

WTF IS THAT? THAT'S NOT A SHIP!
I don;t even know how you could accidentally fit a ship that badly. It's a dual tanked (badly) cap recharging torpedo boat with a cloak.

Harry, try to read thsi start to finish and understand it.
You don't want "complexity". You want the ability to jump into fights without having to keep replacing your ships. You want PvP without the grind. That's understandable.
The thing is, EVE doesn't provide scenarios, it provides tools. It's up to you to use them.
Now if you would simply learn about how PvP works, you could learn to fit and fly your ships better, that way when you engage in PvP, you wouldn't instantly die. You could even arrange a corp to have tournaments (although as has been pointed out hundreds of times to you RvB already provides this).

I do have a couple of questions:
If you refuse to learn how to PvP, how do you think an arena will help you? Surely you would simply get killed as soon as you entered the arena then you'd come back here complaining how you need something else?

Harry has already dismissed the whole "just do it in sisi" argument. I suspect for several reasons.

Firstly, he is a drooling knuckle dragger that anything harder than "push buttan, get gudfites" is beyond him. (he has in fact, directly stated something to this effect. He just wants a PVP queue like WoW has)

Secondly, because you might have to actually be any good at the game (and have friends) to get into the SCL.

As a result, that option is beyond him, which is CCP's and all of our fault for being such a bunch of dodgy dinosaurs just because we like the game the way it is. And because it's everyone's fault but his, CCP should fix it by catering to his precise desires in every way. He also spews forth populist bullshit to try and justify a feature that no one but him is asking for.

Whew. I think I just about covered it all. Coming up next, I try and guess his motivations for doing so in a cleverly couched insinuation that his parentage is of a questionable simian nature. Watch this space...!

I traded up 4 billion in ISK within 4 month, I got the cash, I just don't want to search for fight for hours, then have 30 seconds fun and need to do it all again, refit, make 20+ jumps, all that **** is boring

90% is repetitive stuff to get 10% of the good thing, that needs to change, you guys just want to do dull things over and over again and not think about it, thats how you roll... you sure act the same in your work environment, wherelse people like me tend to make things more efficient and reduce the repetitive tasks by using computers

Says the guy who wants to turn EVE into the kind of repetitive, queue up again and again idiocy that WoW has turned into.

While trite to say so, you have the mentality of a 12 year old. An entitled little child.

Speaking of lazy, you seem to want everything handed to you on a plate, without having to do anything to get it. Hypocrite much?

Eve is like life in one respect, if you want it, you have to either steal it, or work for it. Nobody is going to just give it to you.

life is about making things more efficient, I know people like you, you work a lot however unefficient, you prefer to not thinking about more efficient ways, if somebody tells you do this 1000 times you just go for it, wherelse I think about it how to get there faster

You didn't "trade up". You got donated a bunch of ships and isk by people who thought you would actually be able to pull a crowd to VFK. You quit and kept most of it. That's not trading, that's scamming.

No, that's not what "needs to change". And it's not going to change. You can ***** and whine and cry all you want, but CCP will never implement your arena. EVE is EVE. Not WoW. Get used to to or **** off, I honestly don't care which.

Maybe, but I guess you didn't get that reputation handed to you on plate, did you?

I'm not saying non-pvp people (if people like that do indeed exist, since everything in EVE is practically pvp) shouldn't work for their ISK, in the contrary... I just think said work could be more interesting.

I also fell for this but guys, Harry really is a pure troll alt. He does sound convincingly ******** but once in a while pulls it over the top with lines like

"you work like slaves, I work like an inventor"
"you sure act the same in your work environment, wherelse people like me tend to make things more efficient and reduce the repetitive tasks by using computers"

but yeah, 10/10 would get trolled again

Still, he has point... there are many things in EVE that are overly convoluted and complex... research, manufacturing... those are years old systems that never have really been revisited/optimized.

And they need to be fixed and/or streamlined, nobody's denying that.

What Harry wants is something completely different, he wants to turn Eve into something it's not.
