Macintosh

Hey everyone.

I play on a macbook and a windows desktop. A while ago, I was having a problem that other people were having with not being able to see probes in space on my mac. (the same issue discussed here)

I did not read that topic before un-installing and attempting a re-install to fix this problem (my B) but anyway, after downloading the client, I have had a recurring issue where I cannot update, and cannot actually enter the game...

these are what my issues are visually

and when I enter the game it looks like this

inside the game it's an earlier build... so apparently it has never updated from the original .dmg client download.

Any ideas here? I thought it may be a firewall problem (I play @ work -- graveyard shift at a radio station) but then I had the same problem at home (where I usually play on my PC.)

Any help would be appreciated. I'm pretty lost on this.

EDIT: I should clarify, that in the second image when it says "press OK to continue" with the client update, I hit OK and nothing happens. the client closes and does not restart.

Looks like i gonna have to buy a pc laptop just for Eve ... fawk
