'Citizen Kim' has connotations. To put it mildly.

More specifically, it sounds a little too Nation-esque.

Hmm i haven't considered that, still you are right iyammarok, in a way i was trying to comunicate with Kim as to aproach her and actually understand whats behind so much hate towards the gallente, not that there aren't enough reasons at the moment, still Kim exacerbates the whole issue and with each reply from her i find it more and more interesting what her motivations might be.

Im sorry, but this you don't want to know.

Then again perhaps i might want to know, the question resides in the fact of wether your are willing to share those reasons or not Kim.

Isn't the fact, that they are murderous racist criminal lawless freedom-loving democratic hedonistic undeveloped individualistic filthy pervert unprofessional degraded incompetent decadent hypocritical greedy self-righteous savage scum, enough?
Oh, and their "justice" system is not justice system at all and must be demolished.
And their Federation must be destroyed too.

Thats one answer, apart from the fact that they indeed crash landed a Nyx into one of our stations and the subsequent escalation of events i'd say that they, the Gallente, really "pissed" in the wrong pond . ( if you pardon my gallentean. )

But to wish to obliterate them alltogether as a race and dismiss everything as a sort of daemonic race that must be crushed and forgotten at all costs is another matter altogether and thats why i'm asking you Kim whats the reason, the real reason, is it personall ? Did you loose someone? Or is it plain bloodlust?

I don't wish to obliterate them! Just... shut them down from us... from everyone. Don't let them influence, infect and poison other nations!
And it is not personal. I have no... I should have no personal reasons or feeling towards them. This is purely professional, and I will eradicate this filthy annoying stupid dirty gallentean bastard scum from the face of our galaxy as a professional! Even if I will have to die for this myself.

While I am alive, they will not prevail. I will make everything possible for them to choke with their own medicine.

Choking us with freedom and hedonism?

Seriously, Diana, it's entirely possible for us to coexist. I'm not saying the Federation is perfect, or that there aren't ingrained pride and hatred on this side of the border too. But those of us who grew up in the Federation want it to be better, not gone.
The beauty of the Federation is that you can live the way you want - there are worlds that embrace the ideals you talk of here, and there are others that don't. What we have in common is that we think that we become better not just by tolerating the differences others, but by embracing diversity. The happiness and well-being of the individual can be the goal of the state, just as the goal of the individual can be the well-being of the state.

You don't have to like me, or anyone else who defines as Gallente, or the Federation, but your vitriol is only cementing the enmity between our governments. If you cared as much for the well-being of the State as the destruction of the Federation, you would strive for peace, not domination.

She can't win can she?

Everyone tells her that she is being extreme, then the second she says she doesn't really approve of genocide there is someone there to tell her she's never been extreme enough.

Isn't this a bit like when you're at a party, trying to slow down drinking because you've nearly urinated in your trousers, and someone complains that you aren't having enough fun because you don't have a shot in hand?

Consider the source. The only one telling Kim to be more extreme is one of Sansha's toasters. Go figure.

Also, I want to know why she hasn't responded to my statement that she craves a Gallentean man, in particular Pilot Ixiris, whom she battles back and forth with in the Summit channel like a schoolgirl who has a crush on a boy but, doesn't know how to express her feelings so instead, hits him.

It's so obvious.

A reminder: We don't mock broken bones.

There's no shame in having cut yourself cooking, no stigma to a sports injury. The flu does not inspire ridicule, and on those occasions when somebody suffering from cancer suffers belittlement for it, our wrath and scorn fall upon the person responsible, not on their victim.

So it should be with mental illness. The brain is an organ like any other, it can become injured and diseased like any other. When it does, the results are things like paranoia, schizophrenia, compulsion, depression, unreasoning rage and witless self-contradictory fantasies.

These are not things to be sneered at - they are symptoms, and it is equally inane to taunt the mentally ill as it would be to bully a paraplegic.

Please try to remember that, pilots.

I surely hope Diana's issues are not mental illness but simply the stress of solitary, dissociative capsuleer life. It's fairly common for people who rarely or never leave the pod for long stretches to have these kinds of problems.

So common I would try not to call it even mental illness. It is the same difficulty that plagues a politician surrounded only by his advisers. Eventually, your own angers and fears are projected onto people you can no longer see or hear. Your opinions become truths. People become expendable parts of the ships you destroy. Your sleights become great insults and threats to whomever you hold dear.

If this is mental illness, the universe is unstable and we capsuleers are nigh universally insane. The unfortunate thing is that Diana voices the exact same kinds of opinions everyone else here does. It's only her bombastic nature that makes her noteworthy, in that regard.

Trust me, my friend, I think that last person complaining to me (true story, that) would be the theoretical person Diana has such an issue with. We all have people in our cultures who play to our worst thoughts and intentions. That would be the Gallentean version.

Still, when you minister in Gallentean space without being a complete tosser, you'll be invited to some wild parties. It took me one to learn how to keep my head about me even when everyone else's seem to be shooting across the atmosphere. Mostly harmless fun, but it isn't as if I don't see where Diana's frustrations started. You see people with obvious problems, but there is no way to convince them that they have an addiction when everyone else they know is in the same boat.

That's simply their particular poison. Most of the Gallenteans I have converted did so to break the cycle of addiction.

By the by, I've heard vaguely of this Summit channel, but I can't say I've ever actually been in it. I spend relatively little time in my pod, but I don't suppose I could tune in?

It's easy to say that when her genocidal rants aren't directed at you.

What worries me about Diana Kim is not how genocidal and crazy she is, but that there have been, and still are, people with a similar method of thinking as her. It's people with Ms. Kim's thinking and (lack of) logic that strap bombs onto themselves, or ram their ships into stations. You may call her mentally ill, I call her a terrorist attack waiting to happen.

Put it this way, it's one thing for voices in your head to tell you to kill innocent people, it's another when you start to obey them.

Am I afraid? No. But people like her are a threat to my nation, and are very deserving of being mocked.
