*edit* Figured maybe I'd just convert this thread into observations/issues I run into as I go along, my experiences as a newbie.


I just wanted you to know that the font size in this game is ridiculous, and very seriously makes me not even want to play to avoid the eye strain.

Something you might want to think about revising in the future, losing potential customers because of a bad font size is just lame.

One of the first things I did was click undock button while beginning tutorial was going on. Doing this results in your client getting stuck on a black screen, with only the Tutorial window visibile and you are unable to continue.

Closed client, logged back in, re-docked. Now the tutorial wants me to apply Shield operation skill book... except when I undocked, the book disapeared. Tutorial will not continue without applying the book.. which appears to no longer exist in my item dock, my cargo hold, or anywhere else I can find.

Lucky you, after several years they are finally changing the font and it's coming out this winter. You can try it on the test server.

As for the getting stuck on black screen it's fairly common issue but one that I've never run into myself nor do I have any idea why it happens. You can force the black screen away with Shift+Backspace iirc

If you really can't find the skill book then send in a petition and a GM should fix it for you either by resting the tutorial or just giving you the book. You can file petitions using the in-game help window (F12).
