Using promo pack code on Amazon.com for Collector Edition?

Is it possible to order the Collector Edition on Amazon.com and use the promo pack code? Or is it restricted to EVE Store only?

The promo pack can only be purchased from the EVE Store, and the certificate can only be redeemed against a full copy purchase of the Collector's Edition from the EVE Store too Smile

does that mean the people who already preordered from amazon doesnt get the implants?

The Amazon store one does it say it comes with the implants but.. I haven't received them yet, although I got the golden pod and the tattoos already Ugh

Sorry for this "I didn't bother to read any of the info" question but is there a way to get the golden pod without shelling out 150 for the full (and mostly useless) collector's edition? I can it be sold in game or gotten via other means?

All of the CE digital items can be sold in game. The pod, which is an implant that goes in slot 59, can be sold. It is not destroyed on death. I believe CCP confirmed that it can also be unplugged without being destroyed, and then be sold, so it is not "consumed" by plugging it in.

If you pre-purchased the Collector's Edition you should be eligible for all the pre-purchase items as mentioned in the Dev Blog:

"Just to clarify, if you have already pre-purchased the Collector’s Edition then you will not miss out! You will be receiving a code shortly from the place of purchase allowing you to collect the implants."

If you are experiencing a delay in receiving codes for these items please would you first contact the support team of wherever you purchased the Collector's Edition, as they will be best placed to review your order and advise you (EVE Store / Amazon etc).

Just to be clear on this: If I'm already pre-buying the CE (which i can't believe I'm doing, but ya know, USB Rifter is USB Rifter...), there is no reason to buy the promo pack as well, right? Looks like everything in it is also there for just straight up pre-buying the CE.

The Promo Pack is simply another way to pre-purchase the Collector's Edition by paying part of the cost initially to receive the pre-purchase items, and the rest later using the upgrade certificate. As the Promo Pack doesn't guarantee a copy of the full limited edition Collector's Edition box set we would recommend making the full purchase as soon as convenient.

There is nothing extra in the Promo Pack which is not contained in the regular purchase of the Collector's Edition Smile

The golden pod is included in the full box set, which is due to be released 24 October 2013 as per the recent Dev Blog. Until then you can try it out on the test server!
