Why are people such risk averse pansies when it comes to fleeting with neutrals?

Are people really THIS afraid of awoxers that they'd literally just stay docked spinning their ship instead of letting reds and neutrals join them for small gang roams?

I can understand the reasoning behind a secret alliance op involving structures, but why on earth are people so scared to let strangers in their small gang pvp roams? If they awox, they know in future not to trust them so the damage is only limited.
Furthermore, you can even check their killboards to get a pretty good idea of whether they break fleet etiquette.

Seriously, if you OCCASIONALLY lose a ship to an awoxer who claimed to honor fleet agreements, who cares?
You can still afford 50 more.

Personally I think people are way too uptight about it.

Welcome to EVE

There are good ships,

And wood ships,

And ships that sail the sea

But the best ships are Spaceships

Why take the chance of being awoxed or blobbed when you don't have too. Besides, who would let a red into a fleet to begin with ?

After recent events I don't even trust people to light a cyno for me... and I'm talking about my best mate in eve for 9 years. And you want me to fleet with neuts? Is that like trying to invite cloakers to see if they afk?

I totally agree OP. You should come to null with your most expensive ship and fit so we can fleet up. I cross my heart that I would not kill you or lure you into a ransom trap. Trust me, I'm a prince. Big smile

Everytime you read this you are required to send 100 million isk directly to me.

Why would I fly with neutrals and, of all people, reds? Please elaborate on why I should be as accomodating in the first place. It's not my intention to create as much content for as many people as possible. I want to create some content for those that support our corp and alliance. I'm not a charity and we operate NBSI so you either commit to +5 standings, or remain a target. It's principle, not risk aversion.

Fleeting up with neuts and reds gives you the opportunity to meet way more people and participate in many different strategies?
Why would you NOT fleet up in small gang pvp with neutrals and reds that you'd never met personally?
Neuts are just that, neutral. Once they're in fleet (unless they're awoxers) you can usually trust them.
And reds are just set red by your corp/alliance leader in many cases. In reality you have no quarrel with them.

Why not let the guy into your fleet, warp him to a safe and kill him? That's what I would do.

Fleet members don't appear on most usual overview regardless of standings.
You should have a tab that shows all players too.

In all seriousness, these players should be congratulated, not scolded.

Fear of awoxers does not stop me fleeting with neuts....common sense does.

As to reds, they are red for a reason.
