Captcha for every post? :(

Recently resubbed I have been cursed with filling out a Captcha for every post. Even though I am logged into the forum. Also the notification to the left of my portrait never updates when new posts are made to threads I subscribe to. One more issue is there is no more 'like' button.

Anyone else having the same issues?

Nope.... and to be honest I have no idea what is causing it becuase there is no Captcha as far as im aware.
Also My like buttons are still there may i suggest a different browser aside from the venerable firefox maybe chrome or ie at least before thinking it may be a eve online forum problem?

Nope. No captcha for me and I know that there was no captcha ever on this site.

Here's what you can check:

- Are you sure that you are using the correct URL to connect to EVE forums? (maybe you have some phished bookmark or something)

- Are your or your ISP's DNS settings correct. Maybe your DNS table is hacked and re-routed to a phishing one. You can check that by trying to access the forum directly by IP address: 87.237.39.162 (I know... it's not ideal check but might help anyway). If everything works by accessing the IP address directly, the DNS table might be borked.

- If everything still looks ok, I suggest sending a petition. Forum devs or CCP's security division might be able to help.

And yeah... I highly recommend changing your password right after you resolve the problem.

I can't recall ever seeing a captcha for forum form submission, here.

Using Win7 64-bit w/latest FF.

I use Google Chrome on my PC and I have an HTC Incredible cell phone. The problems are persistent across both. :(

Try logging into account management and seeing if they ask you to enter a character name? It might 'authorise' your IP or whatever? /speculation

It's gotta be an account age thing to combat spammers. Vets no have to do.

It cant be right I still have her on neutral rep from when i used to work for her. I was an awful slave back then.

it's probbaly down to you having some dodgy stuff on your machine - you are solving capta's for other people

i.e.
now go and get a clean machine and change your passwords for everything

Hmn that's really odd, as far as i knew these forums don't have a captcha system. Maybe a forum dev can enlighten us.

Capcha as in asking for your logged account characters name?
Only happens when your IP flips.

EDIT: Incidentally, this shows why the "solve botting by making players solve captchs" idea that comes up once a month or so is especially dumb.

Hi Marlona,

I have let the web team responsible for the forums know about this issue and they are looking into it. unfortunately I have no eta for when it will be fixed but we will keep you updated as we know more.

After that, CCP will have to check logs and well, I don't think they trained that passed level 1 you know
