Even if you cannot be scanned down at the moment I've found that low sec missions aren't worth the increase in pay. Even if you have a decent agent that never forces you to leave the system you are in you have to expect to lose the ship some day and thus cannot fit it as efficient as in high sec.

Also the time you need to spend docked or hidden somewhere because a roaming fleet is out for your blood is time where you cannot earn ISK, and on average you come out worse than running the same missions in high sec because you can run them as long as you can stand it.

I agree, and with out being able to lose your ship allows you to fit better modules that allow you to run missions even faster.

And what does it mean exactly? That a mission location in space can't be scanned anymore? Or that generally ships - no matter if missioning or not - can't be scanned anymore? Or that it is much harder (but not impossible) to scan a ship? Does it only apply to low sec? Or high sec and null as well?

Is there a dev/patch note reference about this change (if it is an intended change)?

It was a bug when the thread was written over a month ago.....since fixed.......nice necro for no reason.

I actually spent 2 months living and missioning in lowsec just to try it.

What you say is true...but my experience is that lowsec and hisec pay about the same all things considered. While you make more isk and LP in low...it ends up being about the same:

- You need to run a cheaper ship than hisec because of the risk. This cuts down on your completion times.

- You need to have a clone with less expensive implants for the same reason.

- You will camped and interupted from time to time and this cuts down on your isk.

- You also need a cheap, throwaway alt in order to scout ahead...this takes time and so cuts down on your isk.

All in all though...you can make about the same once you get used to it. It is more stress and more risk for the same isk and therefore makes no sense to do it...but I do recommend people try it for awhile for the experience. It will do you good :)

Some of us are actually risk-seeking, and find low sec fun. I generally try to do everything in low sec, even if it hurts isk/hr.
