Or they could slice out piece of ice and carry it to the ship on some hooks :D That could look awesome :D

All drones work on the same block. The more drones you have the faster they cut it and tow it back.

I would actually want to se medium and heavy mining drones :) . Then those drone mining rigs could be used...
Just imagine a Rorq with 5 heavy drones drilling a rock apart. And from a technical POV a drone drilling a rock is abit more realistic than a laserbeam 15km vacuuming dust.

If anything and an ice harvesting drone were ever made it could be something like requires 5 drones applied to same ice roid to complete/offload 1 complete ice block. But that's looking at it from the "nice" angle. In truth I'm with most of these guys although a T2 salvage drone would be nice anything else would mostly be silly...

I have nothing exciting or fun to use as a Forum sig... eh, S**t happens...

Or nearly an hour per drone to haul the block back.

The only other way I could think of it is if the drones accelerate the harvesting process for that one particular ice roid. Drone assist rather than drone harvest.

ughhh. Just what EVE needs. More drones.

Someone said it. Ice = 1000m3. The drone would be at least the size of a cruiser.
