Well done CCP.

Youve ruined a working system and shown no urgency in fixing it. Impossible to do combat probing right now.

Truly. Quality. Testing.

Edit: If you need to know specifics, the target ship's signature, whether a red dot or bracket will NOT show up below 75%, so you cant narrow down targets. Its either large enough and at a location where you get it on 75% on first pass or gg.

Yes double clicking on the result centers the window, but thats at best 'guesstimate' territory.

Who tests and passes this crap?

Agreed we had an agressed carrier in system with us last night, the FC's alt moved in to scan it down and couldent pin it down, we thought he was joking.

So 2 more alts with combats moved in and STILL couldent get a hit on it.

I went out to try it for my self aaaaaaaand its ******

first, it didn't exist, then it was barely functional, then it was just hard, then it became easy, then it went easier, then it was "ZOMG EASY PEASY!" and now it went back to hard again.

Actually they don't care about EVE anymore and they are working on World of Darkness.
Throwing that into the pile of why EVE is dying because the pile isn't big enough.

Agree with OP, scanning with combat probes is now largely impossible.

I thought we would get more visible icons when we were scanning down a ship, as the previous iteration of dark red brackets on a black background was very difficult to see, but instead you removed the dark red brackets completely?

It's a bug, CCP is aware and fix is on the way.

I do agree that this kind of stuff should be caught during testing.

I can scan most ships down at 2au

if you are getting the probes that close isn't the person or people you are scanning for smart enough to see probes on d-scan?

I say just remove whole boring scan mini-game along with all bugs (automated module with delay based on equipment quality and pilot skills) - I bet WHs and exploration will become twice more popular instantly.

Combination of D-scanner and probe use and this "no ID below 75 percent" thing is moot.
