NEW EDEN ENTERTAINMENT

Violent games for violent pilots

New Eden Entertainment aim to provide fun, interesting and above all, violent events, games and tournaments to the pilots of New Eden. As this is our first day and the next event will similarly be our first event, it seems wise to start small. Then we'll work up to the big explosions.

Therefore, allow me to introduce:

The Innominate Cup
The cup is a 1 v 1 frigate tournament. Winner takes all.

There will be three test rounds, to make sure the rules and procedure work, to check timings, to hone my skills and such. So I guess you could say that right now I'm looking for some pilot testers (oh yes! There shall be more of those).

If it all goes swimmingly then we'll move onto full blown frigate explosions and prizes!

I'm putting 3 hours for the tournament, but this will be adjusted once I know how long it actually takes, so be prepared for it to take longer. All times in EVE time.

Test Round 1:

Date/time: Either 13th September 19:00-22:00, 14th September 12:00-15:00; 19:00-22:00, 15th September 12:00-15:00; 18:00-21:00

Entry: FREE
Prize: 100 million ISK for first place

Max participants: 8

- First week. I'd like to get 8 people along, entry is free and you can win 100 million ISK. Main aim is to test it all out!

Test Round 2:

Date: Week after next sometime, I hope
Time: TBC

Entry: FREE
Prize: 100 million ISK for first place

Max participants: 16

- Same as before, just with 16 people. Aim is to test how it scales with more pilots. Yes, that means your return per fight is lower - but it's still free!

Test Round 3:

Date: Week after the week after next, I hope
Time: TBC

Entry: 10 million ISK
Prize: 10 million ISK x (number of players) = all the entry money and possibly a little extra from me.

Max participants: 32

- The plan is for the ultimate limit to be 32 players per tournament and for you to actually pay to participate. This makes sure I'm not some scamming scum.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN PARTICIPATING IN ANY OF THE THREE TOURNAMENTS THEN SEND ME AN EVE MAIL - DON'T SEND ENTRANCE FEES FOR ROUND 3 YET THOUGH. PLEASE ALSO LET ME KNOW WHICH OF THE TIMES (MORE THAN ONE IF YOU CAN) LISTED FOR ROUND 1 ARE BEST FOR YOU (THIS GOES FOR IF YOU'RE SIGNING ON FOR ROUND 2 OR 3, SO I KNOW WHEN IS THE OPTIMAL TIME)

Looking to the future - Round 1:

So, provided all of that works out OK I plan to roll out the tournaments thus:
- Fortnightly tournaments to begin with
- 10 or 50 million ISK to enter - 70% for the winner, 30% for me - because even if I'm not scammer scum, I am capitalist scum.
- 8/16/32 participants - tournaments will be broken down into time blocks for each 8 (so you don't have to attend the whole tournament - from each 8 the 1 winner goes on to the semi finals; this should hopefully mean only the winners have to hang around)
- Aiming for Fri, Sat, Sun for tournaments.
- More to be added as I think of it.

RULES
- Tournaments will take place in high security space, most likely 0.5/0.6 systems. To discourage outside interference, though may not eliminate it. Therefore: New Eden Entertainment will accept no responsibility for lost items or ships as a result of any other player blowing it up - Though in the future I may offer compensation.
- The location of the system will be passed on to pilots when it is decided. It is advised to set up several ships nearby as future tournaments will be held in the local area so you don't have to haul across the galaxy all the time.
- Participants can come along at any time and watch and while I can't stop other pilots coming along, they won't be actively invited to the initial tournaments.
- If you are observing, is it too much to ask you to come in a shuttle, to avoid any accusations and such.
- Try and be ready before the tournament starts and be nearby. We will convene at a safe spot and then I shall warp us around as need be.
- If any other pilots do begin shooting/interfering then NEE recommends you run and dock and we'll go from there. Though do feel free to shoot them back if you like.

- Pilots will start 15km away from each other and I will park roughly in the middle.
- Pilots will engage in a duel and will start killing one another when I say so
- A ship kill is required for victory (though if you both agree beforehand to not blow up the ship and one player clearly yields then I suppose this is ok).
- Pod killing is not encouraged, though, I can't prevent it, so don't bring your expensive implants.
- At the end of the fight, say "gf" and move out of the way so the next guys can fight. The defeated fellow can go re-ship to spectate and the victor can go repair if needed - and change fit (though there can't be repeated changes).

FITS
Because this post is long enough already and because this is all about violent killing then there are very few fitting rules:
- No faction or Tech 2 ships

If Tech 2 or faction modules appear to be making a noticeable difference then restrictions on them may come into effect, but for now, there are no module restrictions - unless you can think of any sensible ones. However, it is not advised to fit faction gear to try and win 100 million ISK.

As I mentioned above, you can re-fit between fights, just don't keep changing.

I did not expect it to be this hard to practically give 100 mill away...

I am not connected in any way to this tournament and do not endorse this impersonation.
