The Raven is physically to small as well imo, when you put it next to other battleships it looks like a deformed midget.

Caldari ships are beautifully designed in their own way. Every race has their own aesthetic, and cold, maximized efficiency is the Caldari look. I hope it never changes Cool

yup

if your dont like the unique look of caldari ships then dont fly them , there are 3 other races with ordinary ultra boooring visuals you can choose from, go play with potato at least it is symmetric

there might be no atmosphere but that doesn't mean you wouldn't want symmetrical ships due to forces acting on the chassis from engines and impacts

furthermore you wouldn't necessariy want lots of flat areas all over the place because they won't be very resistant to incoming fire.

This also stems from the fact that the Caldari draw a lot of Japanese influences regarding their lore. In Japan, asymmetry is often favored over symmetry, specifically in art, fashion, and architecture.

How can anyone say the Raven isn't a sexy ship? It's better looking than the Sticky back Plastic, matches and prayers that hold the Minmitar ones together. The Merlin is certainly the best looking frigate out in New Eden, and anything with the Scorpion hull is just plain eye-catching.

I'd still love to see a Raven, or a Scorpion, being able to fit a Covert Ops Cloak to it, could you imagine the panic that would go through a pilots mind if a wing of "Bird of Prey" (PVP fitted) Ravens decloaked 100km from them?

I have a problem flying asymmetrical ships, it just bugs me-so I fly other stuff. The Raven hull would be awesome without that wing crud going on. But I am silly that way, I need my art work, candles, decor, etc. to be symmetrical as well or it annoys me Lol I do wish it looked more like a bird of prey from star trek, but then everyone would want one.

well, i know for a fact that my thought would be 'lol', as I align out to then wait for the first missile barrage to *almost* hit me, warp out and spam o7m8 in local.
