Probes are Broken? (Probing ships)

So a few days ago I discovered probing for ships isn't possible?

I probe for other players ships in low sec quite a lot. I can't anymore though because the ship signature is not showing up on the system map as it usually does with a red dot or circle. Nothing what so ever on the system map representing the ship signatures I see on my scanner. Have I missed a news post about this, why is it not working and does anyone know when will it be fixed?

Do you have you filters set for ships? And I am assuming you are using combat probes. I am still scanning ships down like crazy.

Yep, same filters I used before the most recent patch. Since the patch the ship sigs on the scanner just won;t show on the system map at all as they did before. I tried things like docking, refitting the launcher, changing ships to see if it fixes it. No avail.

I use a filter called "Ships" with ships only, and have tried with the default filters to, still no red dot/red circle indicating where the signature might be to let me narrow down the scan.

Missing out on many kills :(

Just logged in to check again, still doesn't work. I double click on the ship signature on my scanner and it centers my screen on where the red dot/circle is meant to be, but it is not there of course. So its just me having this bug?

I made a petition. I can't play eve because I feel handicapped without being able to probe people, lol its such bull.

EDIT:

Spoke with some duders in help chat.. Apparently I am not the only person experiencing the issue. "lots" are.


Fail CCP fail...

The fact it works for some and not for others makes it worse. I am at a disadvantage. My corp mates are getting more kills than me because they can probe ships. This is not acceptable!

confirming that i have this problem too. as described above, ships show in scanner window, but dots are not in space..

I'm having the same problem. The dots won't show in space. And the distance of the Sigs won't appear. This started happening yesterday when I had to download the updated client launcher

i recommend to take couple months break, there is lot of things that are broken but can not seen until it is too late :)
