Issues, Workarounds & Localization

Hi everyone,

So, since a few time i had a problem about ExeFile crash and blue screen about a lot of .sys and other files.

The problem was never caused by the same file but the main appear to be nvlddmkm.sys

I've tried so much solution that i was thinking i cant fix that bug... this crash and bsod appear at anytime, in warp, in station, even in space... it was horrible but i've found a solution about that file "nvlddmkm.sys"

If you have the same problem than me and a NVDIA GPU card that solution can fix your problem.

It's about 2 days that i've no more crash, so i will that to you (maybe it will help someone)

So if you have freeze, screen problem or return to windows try that :

(I just translate it to english, at least... i try)

First Part :

- Go to your NVDIA folder => C:\NVIDIA
- Search a file named « nvlddmkm.sy_ » => C:\NVIDIA\DisplayDriver « Number of the drivers version (exemple : 186.81)» InternationalDisplaynvlddmkm.sy_
- Paste the file to C: => C:\nvlddmkm.sy_

Second Part :

- Go to the system folder where are stored drivers => C:\Windows\System32\drivers
- Search fo a file named « nvlddmkm.sys » and renamed it to « nvlddmkm.sys.old »


Third Part :

Open the MS-DOS command => Press Windows + R and type « cmd »
When the invit is open type this command :

1) « cd c: » then enter (to go on => C:)
2) « expand.exe nvlddmkm.sy_ nvlddmkm.sys » then type enter
(sometimes you need to launch ms-dos as admin)

Go cut and past C:\nvlddmkm.sys and replace it to C:\Windows\System32\drivers

If it work for you it will fix your problem
