EVE Online: Odyssey 1.1 Issues

Tonight, some of the distances shown under my targeted icons weren't updating. I was suspicious that ships were moving more slowly than normal but then I realized the distances are just incorrect.

Scanning Issue:

When scanning a ship, there are no signature brackets/dots or anything until the ship is scanned down 100%

Steps to reproduce:

1.) Put a ship in a known spot. I used a safespot to avoid celestial clutter.

2.) Scanned with a covops (max skilled with Rangefinding, Pinpointing, and Aquisition I mods) probes in the "pinpoint" configuration at 32 AU and center probe over the center of the safespot. The ship shows up in scan results, but no bracket.

3) Put all probes @ 1 AU over the known safespot where I know the ship is and scanned. I got a 100% in scan results and can now see the green brackets of where the ship is in space.

4.) Dock up ship and scan again at the spot to clear the results and brackets.

5.) Warp ship back to spot and repeat step 2. This time I see the red dot in the solar system view AND in the scan results. Further scanning produced the yellow/orange dot and then finally the green 100% bracket. If I was to bring in a completely different toon and try scanning his ship down in the exact same spot I would have the same issues. No scan brackets at all until you had the ship signature scanned 100%

Please fix. Many carebears are missioning with impunity in lowsec, and this just will not stand, man.

I ran a quick test and it seems to me that the target MWD state has no effect on lock time. If my test results are correct, then this is rather major bug.

yes it needs fixing, but please dont moan about them missioning with impunity as they can still be found via dscan, if you are capable of doing it that way of course.

More than day passed and people still did not figure out...

Just click on signature name while probing and you will see the red dot.

Geez thinking desn't hurt.

WTH? stop breaking exploration, please.

Distance: 0m and no red dots or red spheres on the scanner. Again, what is wrong with you? Is it hard to test these changes you do or what? And where are the patch notes about that???

I opened a support ticket yesterday, recieved no answer so I hoped that it will simply get fixed after today's downtime. There I go with combat probes and nothing, again. When you select an specific signature you get the CIRCLE, but never get the red dot when approaching.
Impossible to probe people, and ofc is not a planned addition to the game.

The sad part is that in 24 hours no single CCP representative posted any update regarding this and that's... quite bad.
Nothing to blame as I love eve and CCP attitude 99% of the time, but this issue is under the 1% of bad handled things.

I'm unable to login to game and ccp haven't replied in two days now so don't get your hope up with little bug with probes

Maybe a comprehensive update on known/reported problems would be useful CCP?

It seems the Warp-to 100% signatures bug was fixed, but I noticed a related issue last night: I had multiple 100% signatures scanned out, could warp to all of them, but I could only bookmark the most recently scanned signature from the scanning interface window. I had to re-deploy probes around a second signature and scan again before it would allow me to bookmark.

Doesn't work atm, the sig display is just bugged, at least with combat probes- no sig indicator of any sort was displayed. Luckily the guy was in a sig which I could scan down without issues with cores, so we didn't miss the kills.

On my Logitech G930 wireless USB headset: anytime EVE tries to play a sound, I get a loud speaker crackling noise instead. This is beyond completely borked.

Scanning No Red Dots (possible work around): I'm getting the no brackets/red dots in map issue. Using a Gnosis, jury rigs for scan sig, modules (range and pinpoint),level 2 skills with Astrometrics 4 and an expanded core with combat scanners (not sister). PC

If I press alt and stretch the default pinpoint pattern out a little it seems to start showing signatures in the map on the next scan. I have also noticed that using a shotgun formation will show better results in the map but when the pinpoint formation is used after say 20% scan strength on the signal, the dots go away again. As I was roughly able to get a location with the shotgun scan, and feel confident I know where the targer is in map, rescanning several times on a good signal in pinpoint formation will increase the signal strength even though no marker is in the map.

Wanted to post this to keep the conversation going on scanning as I DO NOT LIKE NOT SEEING DOTS IN THE MAP.

Edit: Need a repair order immediately on the bottom probe in a pinpoint formation. When using the Shift key to attempt to narrow in the formation one probe at a time, I can slowly get a stronger signal by moving the outside probes in. As I bring up the bottom probe for some reason I can only get so close and then I lose the signal. I was working with a probe signal at 40+% strength.

are you kidding me? "not having problems at all"?
I stopped using the launcher 3 months ago, when it failed to patch my game 3-rd time in a row. Since then I have 2 icons with eve on my screen:
1) "\bin\ExeFile.exe"
2) "\repair.exe"

If I go in the game and it says "patch available", I close the game and launch the "repair.exe" which patches/repairs necessary files...

I've not had any real problems with the launcher that required a repair at all since it first came out. Perhaps the problem is that you stopped using the launcher after they fixed a problem that may or may not had been related to the launcher, and that's why your installation is borked all the time? Food for thought.

I only have data for Guristas type sites currently, so I can not speak to the other rat types.

Based on the data, the question I have for CCP is this: Was the intended change to decrease the Elite Cruiser count and were the patch notes simply not updated to reflect this new scope of the change, or was this an error in the implementation and can we expect another adjustment in the future to make the site reflect the originally posted change of decreasing the elite frigate count?
