Show meta level on item pictures

Tech level 2 items are the easiest to spot most of the time, due to their naming, but years ago, they got a clearly visible symbol in the upper left corner of the item picture, while it's still tedious to spot the other meta levels. For example, I'm searching my inventory for an afterburner to install on my ship, and I have to open the info window a lot to check which meta level they are. Would be much more convenient if the item picture had a small indication of that.
It would also be helpful if the market list sorted items by metal level first instead of name only.

Why don't you just create filters?

like, I don't know... a filter called Meta 4, that shows... maybe... only meta 4 items?

And then you filter for a certain meta type and you either see that one only and don't know what else you have or you see nothing, which helps little. I'd like to have a quick overview over what I have available.
After all, why not just filter for meta 5 and forget about the tech level marker?

I use the Details or List view, instead of Icons, and add the Meta Level column. Speaking of which, I would like to be able to change the order of the columns.

Yeah, I guess those views are an alternative, although they aren't as space-efficient unless you don't need the icons for quick info on what type of item you're looking at. And adding a column for a value that might be there for some items, but not all...
Well, I like efficiency a lot, haha.

To the "Create Filters WAAHH" crowd:

Remove the T2, Faction, Officer, Deadspace tags from the icons as well then and we can all make one filter for each of the 10+ Meta Levels and because they aren't exportable we can do that for every account...oh won't that be fun!

@OP; Rant over I suggested this some time back on this thread Meta Level Icon Addition Posted: 2012.03.14 12:47 so it's nice to see I'm not the only one thinking this would be a good idea.

Less filters, less storing or settings and easier navigation and recognition of modules.
