Can you give an indication of shipping times to Australia? I will not be home during the month of November and unfortunately can not rely on my local postal service who will not hold packages more than 7 days. I fear this will arrive when I am away. Given the massive cost of the CE is it possible to pay extra to expedite shipping to Australia?

Any word on these codes for amazon preorders?

There was a whole thread when the Nefantar thrasher codes went out, and we eventually got them after a couple weeks but I still havent gotten an e-mail for this or the sleeve tattoos. Are we out of luck until the boxes ship because of the way amazon handles pre orders?

I have not received my Amazon implant code, but I received my Amazon pre-order sleeve tattoo code a fair while ago. Maybe check your spam folder to see if the email was lost?

The sleeve tattoo came a couple days later for me than the eve store pre orders if I recall correctly.

Its ******* bullshit that they are now selling all the incentives to buy the CE for a third of the price
This reeks of pay to win

It makes me so ******* angry that I saved up and forked out $220AUD for the CE on the promise of limited edition content and now their just handing it out to anyone at a third of the price

As far as I'm concerned CCP can go **** themselves if their going to be throwing around a scam like that
And thats what it is, a scam
Release a product with the promise of additional incentive limited edition content at an inflated price if pre-ordered
Then closer to the release date, release all the pre-order content at a fraction of the price to boost sales with no compensation to the original purchasers

If you want the pre-order content, then you bloody pre-order the item that it was promised with
Not just come along at the last minute and pick up all the incentives at 1/3rd the price

I'll be demanding a full refund if this goes ahead as feel cheated out of my hard earned money and victimized by CCP on a promise of exclusivity which now means nothing

So for $150 people could preorder the collector's edition, get all the preorder items, plus some nice other items as well.
Now for $50, people can buy the promo pack, get all the preorder items, and $50 off the collector's edition so they get all the preorder items again. For $150 total you get twice the preorder items and all the other items of the normal CE.

Either CCP really did not think things through, or that's really, really dirty marketing.

Here's something people missed.

Go look at the shipping date on the promo pack.

It's set to the time that the collector's edition ships. So at that point, you won't get the preorder stuff with the copy you get with the voucher.

Go back and read what you get. You /just/ get the 4 preorder bonuses. Not the contents of the Collectors Edition.

I'd just like to say the fact that Australians have to pay $215 for it is slightly annoying. Put a drop down box in the store just for Australians and you pick that box and the price goes to EUR dollars.

149.99 Euro = 215.22613 Australian Dollars (1 EUR = 1.43493652 AUD · 1 AUD = 0.69689493 EUR)

It would be nice if we could pay via USD instead. Which would be closer to $150AUD (I think it's close to $160AUD if we paid USD).

Other people have probably pointed this out but I didn't see it. I'm sure CCP have a good reason for it. Just seems a bit odd.

--Edit: Just noticed the regions in the store are all in euro dollars. Eugh... Quick someone change the exchange rate Smile
What's the deal with the euro dollar and Icelandic króna? They haven't swapped their main currency yet have they?

It's not /quite/ as bad as that.

The US price doesn't include any taxes, as they're funny like that. Really annoying in shops, where the price on the shelf, isn't the price you pay.

The Euro price does include tax.

Doesn't quite make up the difference, but there are differing costs, for different countries.

Kind of lame that you cannot use the 60 day game time for your existing accounts, have to make a whole new account since the 60 days is in a CD Key format. Just another reason why not to buy the Collector's Edition.

Just to jump in and clarify a few points on the pre-purchase items and Promo Pack:

The Promo Pack only contains the pre-purchase items, not the digital or physical contents of the full Collector's Edition box set. The certificate can be redeemed against a full purchase of the Collector's Edition from the EVE Store (only), however purchasing the Promo Pack does not guarantee a full copy.

When you purchase the Promo Pack from the EVE Store you will only receive the pre-purchase items once, even when you use the certificate to claim your full copy of the Collector's Edition. You cannot claim a second set of pre-purchase items by using this offer.

The CA-3 and CA-4 are, much the same as the tattoos, "timed exclusives". Currently only available as part of the pre-purchase bundle (when purchasing the full Collector's Edition or the Promo Pack), these will be made more widely available at a later date.

Since this is an implant that gives you the shiney gold pod, it would sadly be destroyed once removed.
