What's the game record number for ship spins? I wanna see if I can beat it.

CCP should have a character's spin record in their profile somewhere. Like right under bounty. Or maybe instead of bounty.

or as a bounty counter, every spin takes it up a bit dependent on spinning skill

You can easily write a macro to automate ship spinning so it's a moot point as it always is with such things.

The question then becomes "how long until I get banned for automating?".

Begs the question: "Is Ship Spinning 'gameplay'?"

The shear amount of accumulated spins would set off a background anti-hacking code that would monitor the rate of said spins. If they are all completed within the same time field than the system will flag that player as a spinning hacker. This goes to say that any player practicing spin botting can and will be reprimanded under the EULA.

Possible punishments should not exceed 3 months suspension for all Characters associated with suspected hacking account. For repeat offenders measures should not exclude possible disablement of the spinning feature as well as permanent restriction to captain's quarters.

I take ship spinning very serious and any one who cheats should be delt with to the highest regard.

What if I added random elements to my ship spinning code?

Well its up to you to spin honestly. If you refuse to spin in obedience of the rules than you should feel ashamed of yourself.

I will not let this thread die until I get an official response from CCP about adding this very important statistic to the character sheet!

Someone make a thread in Features and Ideas. This needs to be a penalty.

I was banned for automating and exploiting boss in my previous game, it took them 2 weeks. I was sleeping, eating and watching tv when my character was killing boss... again and again and again... Blink

But they were lazy. They didnt fix him even when they knew people are doing it.

I didn't try botting in eve because somehow i care more about space pixels.

I was spinning a couple of days ago (managed to hit 10k) and I noticed that if I were to spin in one direction for too long the counter would get wonkey and miss spins, but if I changed it up every now and then it'd count fine. Perhaps there's already some limited anti-spinbot programming in the system?
