After patch day ruined my client .. and I resorted to downloading and reinstalling the whole thing from scratch everything was fine for a day.

I came back to log in this afternoon and it seems dt has done it again. exceptions .. errors .. everything i try has one or the other.
It's pathetic and along with posting this i've had enough, i'll go watch some series or play a game that works.

'bettering' and 'sword' ..?

this isn't as funny as the dev post in 'issues and work arounds' where he blames the guys hardware for eve crashing hah.

i will take some break too, no point to play if client crash when you look at info about some player.

Eve does not keep a persistent connection to the servers. Since it was designed to work on stone tablets, it actually has a fairly comprehensive "rubberbanding" and lag management system. This means that you can fly around for a good minute without internet before it gives up and tells you that you disconnected. If it can reconnect before it times out, it will just seamlessly fix up things so you usually don't even notice. I have disconnected and reset my wifi adapter and changed networks while playing Eve without getting disconnected.

When you try to load someone's info, though, it's forced to do something synchronously with the server (fetching the info). When it can't do that, it throws up and admits its connection is gone (socket closed).

i am not talking about socket closed, i said it will crash.

Seems to be pervading the internet. I like this sort of word play and I sort of liked the mind stretching re-ordering of text with 133t too (rules are made to be stretched and your perspective is always improved by inverting things)

All relax stop reading so fast and replying so fast. I reinstalled my whole eve again, it's now working.
The thing about the dev replying to some russian on another thread .. well wasn't anything to do with me which is plainly obvious if you read properly.

And finally .. you couldn't have my stuff cause I couldn't log in.. and well you can't have it now.

Of course you can have all my stuff 10 bil each just for asking for stuff. I'll send it in game enjoy!
