Is anyone else experiencing frequent random disconnections? I've experienced 2 now in an hour.

Yes, in the past couple of days I have had the wonderful "Socket Closed" window a few times during my play. It's rather annoying.

I get them frequently every time I play - in the order of one or 2 per hour and usually (but not always) on both accounts at the same time. It is pretty frustrating, particularly when it happens at a crucial point in a battle or something like that.

Where are you located. We have some fleet members that seem to DC fairly often. I have only had on DC since i have been playing in feb. The other day i was pvp'ing from 9am to 6am the next day with no DC. Wondering if its the internet connection, ISP or perhaps something else in the background.

I also use WINE in linux, so its sort of like running windows without absolutely nothing else running at the same time.

AKA the scientist.

Download PingPlotter (freeware) and trace the connection to eveonline.com when this happens to get some hints.

Also, if there is any 'copper wire' involved in your Internet connection at any point, this is just going to be a hard fact of life.

Mine started doing it the past few days and a cpl before the patch.. Atleast one of my accounts will get disonnected..
