Winter Expansion - More clothing options

I am sure you all remember this devpost from back in 2012

the key bit of info is:

They did add a few new options to the game but nowhere near the full 200. I wondered if people would be OK with them releasing another batch of clothing (thats already complete) with the next expansion?

That entirely depends. I think for some of us it would make sense to put in little tinfoil hats. I seem to run into more people who need those.

Like i said, it entirely depends. I could go either way with this. If nothing else, it would be a new isk sink.

I've been waiting to use the standard "Structure" dress since I first saw it -that was in april 2011.

It would be nice to be able to spend all those free AUR I still have, and would be even nicer if all items were available everywhere -because the ones seeded at FW LP stores are unattainable. For some reason, PvP nuts are not exactly in love with fashion items, but who could had foreseen that? (Also doesn't helps that we don't know what items are available where, else we could at least "order" them from a FW friend).

It would be nice to get use of all the existing items for our avatars. But that's all, just a nice touch after 28 months.

All undelivered clothes will be used by CCP for things like special offers and anniversary packages. Greed is good. Twisted

Custom ship skins, character creator style "repaint". Bring it!

This is why I pointed that new and never seen before clothing items would make the collector's edition more appealing to me.

It's actually shocking that there are no such items already, rather they only hand out a couple of "EPIC KILLMAIL!!" ship paintjobs.

You know, actual content and not just vanity projects.

The clothes already are done & are functional. They just aren't seeded at Tranquility nor have a price tag, but that's all.

By the way, ISK sinks & stuff worth grinding for are "content" too.

Your right we do. But as these clothes are already done I would like to see them in game rather than just sitting doing nothing. I would totally agree with you if someone was asking to have new clothes designed.

I don't even mind if they go into the Aurum Store. Someone else will spend the money to buy them and I will get them for isk on the market. I just hope they aren't stupid with pricing.

CCP states repeatedly that role playing is a big part of the game, and it does indeed enhance the enjoyment of the gameplay for me if my characters looks the part. It's not "vanity" - it's personalization - it helps make my character seem more "real". I couldn't give two lickshakes what the pirate who's enhanced targeting mechanism is about to get a lock on me thinks about how I'm attired - it's not for his ass, it's for me. I just might wanna look good as well as fite good.

I think the OP got it exactly right here. The idea of changing one's uniform in synchronicity with the seasons - the same way as we all do irl - adds to the appeal. I found myself thinking the exact same thing earlier this week.

Visualize the opposite extreme - that all characters had only orange jumpsuits and black boots to wear. Wouldn't be desirable. We would crave more variety, if nothing else. There's no real difference between facial personalization and body personalization. Don't get hung up on that vanity thing - this wasn't what the player rebellion was all about. Eve is renown for being utterly beautiful - give me a good looking character and a good looking ship. I don't want to go around in Eve for decades looking like this.

There's real reasons why your Eve character doesn't do /dance.

Halloween Necropost Week Continues:

In the spirit of the approaching holliday, I have rezzed this thread from the depths.

It's nearly Halloween, and I want more clothes for my space barbie. Lots more clothes. And a "4th Doctor" scarf.
And hats. And some of those old Gallente fashion items from pre-Incursion portraits. Because this is the time of year where adults can still play dress-up.

That moment when you realize the crazy lady with all the cats was right...
