Nerfs needed ASAP

Since nerfs are so popular I figured I would make a thread about it. I'm not actually saying these make sense but if you follow the logic that it's unfair that one module has an advantage over another in some way I guess they might to you

Remove the following items from the game


XL Shield Booster - No similar armor tanking module

Shield Boost Amplifier - No similar armor tanking module

1600mm Armor Plates - No such thing as an XL Shield Extender so not needed for armor either

EANM - Replace with a module that uses cap like the Invulnerability Field

Also make it where shields do not have a passive recharge without a module. Armor doesn't get this.


Please feel free to add your own nerfs that I might have overlooked!

I may as well join the nerf wagon. It seems to be the only thing that people understand these days.

Nerf Slave sets, they effect capitals when Crystal sets don't.

Nerf missiles, they don't have tracking penalties.

Nerf the Scorpion, no other race battleship is an e-war platform.

Shields =/= armor. Guns =/= missiles. Two separate styles of gameplay in each case. They aren't supposed to just be parallel to each other in terms of how they work.

Also most of the points made by OP are technically wrong anyway. The LAR and the XL booster ARE the comparable modules. The medium shield booster is the odd one where there is no comparison among armor reps. The LSE and 1600 plate are relatively comparable in the sense that since the shield extender also effectively boosts your shield recharge rate, the real hitpoints it adds are greater than the 2,600-odd HPs it says it gives. Armor doesn't get passive recharge because it's so much easier to buffer it than shields (partly because of the existence of the EANM module.) The list of ships you can stick a large armor buffer on is greater than the list of ships that can support a recharging-based shield tank.
