Scanning seems to be broken this morning

So, when scanning I am not seeing the red bubbles for sigs. I get a red pin point for them all even at 32 au strength. When I try to pinpoint it I cannot locate the sig. Anyone else notice this?

And yes I know how to scan, this started today after downtime.

Same here. I`m guessing they realised that entry level for scanning was to low and they fixed it now.

Same issue here. Clearing cache didn't fix it.

I looked. Would ya mind pointing us to the workaround for the scanner being borked and not showing ships in space and/or exploration sites?

Haven't tried scanning since the patch. But are you guys sure you're not trying to pinpoint a double sig? What I mean is, in days of old you would get a sig, say VGH twice on the scan window. On the map there would be two red dots to represent the two VGH's. That had been done away with so that we only had a single ghost sig that couldn't be dealt with but to try to probe it, lose it and start over for that sig, aka Ghost sig.

Odyssey 1.1 reintroduced the double sig but in full r3tard fashion so that it shows up in the scan window as a single sig but on the map it will have 2 red dots. You really have to pay attention to it to know what you're dealing with. Then it's just a matter of expanding the probe range to encompass the two sigs to get it down to one sig again.

CCP really needs to reintroduce the double sig being listed twice. Otherwise, it completely defeats the persistent sig strength feature they've introduced.

Is this not what you guys are dealing with?

Nah, no markers in space at all with any filter used...not even show all. I get scan results in the scanner window but nothing to go by on the map view. Tis borked.

Back to the good ol' days... I love this... it's FINALLY fixed!!!!

Now if they could just do away with the insta ore warps and blinking junk when entering a system it would be perfect.

I'm much more aware in the Issues subforum. But scanning issues are identified and being worked on.

What this guy said. Drop the sigs from the overlay/initial system scan entirely, at least out in low/null.

To clarify for the punishment gluttons: the issue on my client is the absence of visual markers. This includes system entry markers, and scan results. No red spheres, circles, dots. Someone took the blue pill.

Yes... when you enter a system... you now have to "explore" to find out what's in it. GASP!

I've been scanning all morning.... not an issue yet finding sites.

Some people were complaining that the new scanner showed when sigs appear so it was harder to gank people in wormholes, but that scan seems to still work. What should have been a five minute scan of my system would have taken all morning because I don't have red spheres or deep space probes and my system is too big. If they give DSPs back fine, but a warning would be nice.

Same. In the probe scanner window, see results, but on the map itself, see no visual of anything. So have to guess where something is to get a hit, This applies only for combat scanning though, So it exclude pritty mcuh any ships, structures and such.
Unless you get very lucky to get a 100% hit without any visual marker. You can use your dscan and range, to try narrow something down, but it wouldn't really go fast to combat someone.

core scanner probes still seems to work normal.

My lord I had to do an initial scan of the system this morning..

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there.

This isn't what we're talking about.. we're not saying the red "easy mode" out in space isn't working. We're saying the fukin red dots in the MAP don't show up when scanning signatures.. Making it nearly impossible to scan down anything.
