Nerf the Rifter

Odyssey 1.1 has come and CCP has successfully completed another round of gigantic nerfs...but when is CCP going to go back and properly nerf the ships that were overlooked in past patches?

Most t1 hulls have been successfully and properly nerfed into the ground, and they've even started nerfing some t2 hulls into uselessness, but still the noble Rifter remains only barely nerfed.


CCP: When are you going to go back and iterate on your prior changes? The Rifter deserves a proper nerf like the rest of the t1 lineup got.

Don't you mean buff the Rifter? It's terrible compared to other frigates...

This. It was, for a very, very long time the only frigate worth bothering with. But as a result, it got the nerf bat a bit too hard in the T1 frigate rebalance.

I barely see them flown any longer, and I used to own about 50 myself.

+1, I endorse nerfing the Rifter into the ground, the same way the Drake, Hurricane and Vagabond got nerfed so hard that they are completely useless now.

No, the problem is that they didn't take it away. We had to counsel Kahega on comms last night, because of the massive guilt he felt for PvPing in a Rifter.

He likened it to, and I quote, "Kicking a kitten out of the arms of a little kid."

Rifter is too powerful. It's like playing Eve on easy mode. I suggest replacing the tracking and damage bonus with a paint job (yellow with brown stripes, like a giant banana) and a free packet of Minmatar pretzels for each hull bought.

It's so low it might as well not be there at all. It's practically just as useless as a laser cap usage bonus. Do you even PvP?

yeye. im pretty sure that you, being a pvp god and all, know perfectly well that the problem of the punisher is not the nerfed resistance % (witch is fine)-
the combination of using low tracking weapons on a slow as **** weapon platform with 2 mid slots is what makes it suck.

anyway - this is a serious thread now?
