Wow, these changes are great! Thank you very much.

I really, really (I mean REALLY) appreciate that you fixed the "collapsed 'Drones in Bay' and 'Drones in Local Space' bug".


Even though this is not a thread for suggestions and for additional requested features, I'd like to mention some minor things:


  • It would be nice if I can group different types of drones (I know you wrote that you're not gonna change this ... yet? ;)).
  • Adding a single drone to different groups would be really nice. I'd rather call groups "squads". For example, on the Vexor I have a "high damage squad" containing 2 heavy, 2 medium and 1 small drone. Sometimes I have more than 2 medium drones in my drone bay and I want to have also a "medium damage squad" containing 4 or even 5 medium drones. Therefore, it would be nice if I could add the 2 from the "high damage squad" also to the "medium damage squad".
  • Just an idea: Maybe it would be nice to have the name of the player I'm assisting my drones to in the drone window. I'd be able to check it all the time (maybe he lost his ship in a larger fight and I didn't notice that) and I'd know the name of that player.

Just noticed that it's possible to drag skills from a blueprint's Bill Of Materials (Thank you), but not materials. Make it so please?

Awsome stuff!

Not having to right click and search for launch - or have to make sure you hit the right keys for launch and landing, But rather to quickly drag and drop groups will make it faster for us drone users.Lol

Same here. When I use drones, I use them by group. If they're ungrouped, I don't want them to get in the way of using grouped ones in the list. It's kinda like nested folders in list view on Windows, folders at the top and individual files on the bottom is (to me at least) the intuitive way to have the list sorted. I don't want to have to scroll down to get at groups because they were pushed off the page by individual drones and I don't want to have the drone window taking up an entire column of screen space just to have easy access to all my drone groups. Think of the carrier pilots! lol

Another change that can be nice is to have all drones/drone groups that are moved to the "drones in space" to be expanded/exploded in the drone view so that one can see their health. I usually dont have the groups expanded in the drone bay as that will make the drone window so massive

It would be REALLY REALLY nice to be able to repackage things inside of a container and/or remotely.
The fliters still are worthless so my corp needs to use cans to sort all of our junk and having to spend forever removing things and repacking them and then passing them back and then waiting a minute for the sorts and stacking is realy friggin annoying...

EDIT:
Not to be totally negative as the drone improvements make a lot of sense and should be very helpful for gangs with lots of drones and I love the idea of being able to drag out skills from your character sheet.

Originally when I read the blog I loved all of the parts including the attribute changes. But after actually seeing it on TQ, I realized how much worse they are in practice. As suggested on 1.1 Feedback thread, I would also recommend adding or moving the icons to the right next to the stats, while keeping the text on the left side. This would make them x1,000 easier to read. Right now the attributes are causing extreme strain, stress and pretty much unreadable.
