orca cargo loging program?

I have been flying an orca for out corps mining fleets. Since we are small i just let everyone dump into the orca. The problem is, keeping track of who dumped what and how much. I am trying to write it down but its hard to get exact. some people say "assign each person a hanger in the corp hanger." problem there is that currently there are only 2 hangers open to everyone and the CEO won't open more (I don't blame him) plus once the corp hanger is full i want to move it to the ore hold or the cargo.
What i want is a program that runs with eve. maybe something player made. that tracks who dumped what into the corp hanger and how much. If anyone has already made this or there is a hidden button on the orca that shows you this please tell me. and any devs looking at this. here is a really nice easy project to do in maybe an hour. and it would remove allot of headache. thanks.Smile

First off anyone can drop into any hanger regardless of see or remove rights.(if you check the allow fleet usage box).
Second the Pilot of the orca can access any hanger regardless of rights, after all it is their orca Smile

I haven't seen a program like you are looking for, but what we do is instead just mine and keep up with time mined and split it later based on participation. Or if we are in a safe area we name jetcans and tractor them in when full and just count cans mined.

Checking that box of Orca or unchecking - it doesn't matter. Pilot of Hulk still see in the hangar of "Orca":
"You have not sufficient rights to see contents of this hangar" (or something similar).

I've done it countless times with my "alt" and there is no way how to fix it. I believe that is just a bug that CCP allways has no time to fix and I just had to accept this bug as an inevitability.

Although for OP I should say check in the Fleet window: Fleet/History/Filters/Loot History
It should provide for you such information.

This is about the best way for larger fleet ops

Fleet loot logger. It's not perfect, and is game-able, but It should be somewhat noticeable that /someone/ gamed it. (loot logger says we mined five million veldspar. we only have 4. Someone's been a moron)

Just don't stack all. Or have the Orca pilot handle everything that way.

Fleet loot logger. Have the miners dump out into a hangar they have no access to in oder to prevent accidental stacking (which messes up the logs ) you can then export the loot logs to a spreadsheet.

Hope this helps

We just have everyone drop ore in the Orca and have Orcas drop it off at the station, and let anyone in the corp use the ore for production, instead of splitting the ore and selling it individually. So far, nobody in the corp has expressed dissatisfaction with this method, so we're not going to change that any time soon.

This was simple and effective, until CCP in their wisdom decided to remove the ability to export loot logs.

It seems that they prefer us to trust, or scam, eachother and that hard facts like loot logs is countering that goal ;)

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

Even if someone opens a hangar and get the "you do not have sufficient rights to view this" thing, they can still drop things in there, provided the orca pilot allowed fleet hangar use. They just wont be able to see what they dropped in there, or take it out again.

95% of the players are loving EVE, the other 5%? On the forums.

When you create your mining fleet, you can choose to disable or enable Loot Logging. That way, you can see exactly what everyone mines, and how much they mine. You find the Loot History in the Fleet Window, under the tab "History", and here you can see what your gang members mine in exact numbers. You don't even need to export it, if you just have the patience to type in a dozen of numbers.

Hope this helps a bit.

I actually found out today (by accident) that the loot logging functionality is still there. To get it, go into your fleet window, right-click the top left icon, and it'll be the last option.

[EDIT: Well, ok, the option moves between being docked or not. Its there though!]

Can't you just place some audit log secure containers in the hanger and have people place the stuff in there?

Edit: I admit, I'm just guessing what audit log containers do.

the best way is to calculate the payout based on the m3/h the ships are pulling. now to do this you need to have and agreement before mining as to wheter payout will be ISK based mineral based or ore based. the BEST way is a mix between ISK/minerals.

for example, 2000m3 of ore are mined over 2hr, your side of the fleet mined 750m3/h theirs 250m3/h, the total value of the 2000m3 is 250m , they get 25% of that and they can "buy" ores/minerals from you in any combination. if they want all your mex, pyr, whatever, they can take it. it makes NO difference to you, because this is based on the asumption thet you want the ISK, not the particular minerals. obviously if you mine to manufacture and they do too, its better to make that clear from the start, so you dont end up in a situation whe ppl have to walk away with minerals they have to sell at market, to buy what they really need and pay a profit to some trader. so you could set some rules, such as they can buy any particular mineral up to the % of the total mineral extracted taht matches their % contribution to the total ores extracted.

theres no need to actually make a transaction, its just a token system.

bottom line is, everyone walks away with the value they extracted and they didnt make less ISK/h than they would on their own.
