Email Verification bug lead to permanent ban?

It appears if you click the link to verify the email address for account A while logged into account B, account A will be banned.

I do not wish to test if this happens every time, but thought it may be worthwhile to see if anyone else has encountered this problem.

Fortunately, it was my lesser used account that was banned, but I'm not happy, all the same.

Edit: Looks like pebkac... turns out I clicked the wrong link in the email, which is all too easy when the email contains more link than explanatory text.

Hey, i have the same problem.
i have 3 accounts. One of them just got banned.
I wanted to verify the email adress, clicked in the wrong link at first, because i was on my mobile phone.
pretty nervous right now. just opened a ticket. hoping this gets fixed.

edit: after i clicked the wrong link, i clicked on verify email adress again and got a new mail with 2 links, but this time i made sure to click the correct link.
My other 2 accounts are verified and active.

this has happened to me too.
god this makes me feel so much better that it's just a misfire.

I also clicked on the wrong link

this makes me feel much better, same problem 2/3 accounts permabanned :O

I was in a meeting with some fine folks who confirmed to me that the secondary link that I lovingly refer to as the self destruct button, will be removed :).

Anyone who's pressed it or is having any other kind of problem with E mail verification, please contact Customer Support and they'll sort you out with urgency.

Wish I knew about this earlier.

Changed my email, bought some PLEX from CCP @ Amazon, sold them, ordered some more (these ones never arrived) and then 20 minutes later got disconnected saying that I've been banned.

Not sure if it's due to the email address verification, the Amazon purchase, the failed Amazon delivery during account server maintenance or if it's because I made 3bill in 5minutes via contracts (selling the PLEX to alliance members).

What's the time frame when it says 'a form of urgency'... without my main account, LiBraga, my other accounts are pretty much useless.

It's been a day so far.

(I remember in 2005... a petition would generally be resolved within the day, haven't really needed to petition lately)

Amendment - Reason for BAN

My issue seems to be that because the PLEX services were down Amazon was unable to deliver my PLEX.
This in turn caused Amazon to automatically refund me... this caused CCP to automatically BAN my main account.

Advice for future - Change the listings on 3rd party sites that use PLEX services to be 'unavailable' or 'out of stock' whilst work is performed. Now I'm unable to play for what I estimate to be another 3 to 4 days minimum due this oversight.
(Which is more than annoying due to booking last Friday off work to do Infrastructure in EVE, the day I was banned)
