If you notice in the Japanese client thread, it says "Locked Indefinitely". This brings two questions to mind:

1) Can you lock something for a set period of time? Why?

2) Or is it like stamping your foot down at the end of a sentence to make a point? Like an unnecessary exclamation point?

(Technically four questions, but really only two general ones...)

Wouldn't it be kinda redundant then. Was just curious though...

I vaguely recall threads (in the old forums) that were unlocked after being locked by moderators. The main reasons that pop to mind are that they were iffy and needed further clarification or mods simply made a bad call. It happens. No one's perfect.
