I have been running missions for Amarr and Caldari, my faction standings with Minmatar and Gallente are abysmal at best.

gallente -7
minmatar -5

I would like to run level 4 missions with a minmatar pilot to help improve my standings faster. In return I can offer level 4 Amarr and Caldari missions.

Hit me up in game if you would like to run missions together to help improve standings.

I should also mention I'm in the Pacific Time Zone. California.

Every day in every way I improve my skills and get better.

Is your diplomacy trained up?

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there.

Well I'm not picky about minmatar corps so any corp will do. As long as my faction standings improve I don't really mind either way.

It is the usual plan. You run 16 missions, you get storyline, you do storyline, your faction standing goes up.

Also, the noob arc that you start in arnon, you can do it every 3 or 4 months, if I remember right, it raises standing with all the high sec factions, double check that.

You can't share faction standings from storyline missions, only corp standings from the normal missions.

exactly, missioning with someone isn't going to raise faction standing.

The op needs to do minmatar and gallente data centers and cosmos for a start.

I was reading up on data centers, not sure exactly how it works but looking into it.

bummer I thought you could share storyline faction standings in fleet....

well back to the grind it seems.

Data centers and cosmos dude, if you grind lvl 1s instead of taking the short cuts they game give you, you'll just be wasting you time.

and the Sisters of EVE epic arc. Can be done in a couple of evenings, has a large standings boost to your chosen faction at the end.

Given your standings, I'd suggest picking Gallente.

Whoa, hold the horses.

cyndrogen,

Everyone here is just saying all kinds of stuff. Forget what they are saying.

This is the answer to your problems = 'The Plan'.

I'm surprised nobody linked that.

Currently you have -7.00 Gallente Faction standing and -5.00 Minmatar Faction standing. At -5.00 and lower standing, Faction Navy NPC's will attack when you enter their high security systems. As such you will be hard pressed to do any missions in their space.

You have Diplomacy level 4 trained, take that to level 5 asap. That will reduce your current negative standings for Gallente and Minmatar.

Forget about Gallente right now, Minmatar is easier to raise due to having the highest negative standing.

While training Diplomacy level 5, right now the only viable option you have is to find a Minmatar corp in Amarr, Ammatar, Caldari or Khanid space and do 16 missions for a level 1 Minmatar agent to get a Storyline mission. That Storyline mission will be enough to put Minmatar above -5.00 Faction standing, thus allowing you to enter Minmatar space without being attacked by their Faction Navy NPC's.

After you complete that, then start working the Minmatar Event Agents listed in 'The Plan'.

Good luck to you.

Except that this Arc will take him into Gallente and Minmatar space where the Faction Police will be hot on his tail....

And after you fixed it, you should drop all missions that pits you against other empires and skip the storyline missions.

Probably because you cant do "The Plan" with -7 and -5 standings, which is stated in the first sentence of "The Plan".

What this fellow says. He's the eve-guru on this topic and the threads he maintains are the bestest, most up-to-datest, stuff you will find on the topic.
The info in 'The Plan' is still the best approach whatever your starter standings are. I started my Amarr rehab, from an horrendous baseline like you, and slowly worked them up so I could run lvl4s with all amarr corps. OFC I have since ruined them again, but that happens. Learnign about data centres and circle missions helped drag me out of the seemingly endless lvl1 amarr missions very quickly.
Read the plan, look at how that info applies to you ... apply your brain ... and go for it.
Good luck.

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.

I did "the plan" before I even knew such a thing existed. (( Some of the plan needs a few tweaks fyi ))

Here is what you want to focus on:

Get minmitar standing above -5.

Train social skills, sneak in epic arc if possible even if you have to be in pod with buddy doing the killing.

This will allow you to run L1's with minmitar corps. As stated above RSS can be ran in amarr space.

Once you have minmitar up above -2 you can use corp standings to get higher level missions.

So hopefully you have a corp with decent minmitar standings.

You sound like you are right on the brink of no return. Hopefully not too late. So don't wait to do it later.

Do not accept any missions v.s. major empire factions. Do not accept any amarr/caldari storylines until you are above -2 with both gallente/minmitar.

Do not bother switching to gallente missions until after standings for them are above -2 due to minmitar storyline missions.

I highly recommend running distribution missions when you can safely again.

The best thing you can do is go -10 with Minmatar and Gallente, they are nothing but god damn peace loving hippies and ungrateful lazy slaves.

Working with Minmatar or Gallente means you are part of the problem, not the solution.

I'm a relatively respectable citizen. Multiple felon perhaps, but certainly not dangerous.

You're too cool for school.

I followed Jenna's advice and fixed mine in about 90 minutes.

But grinding for weeks would be just as good.
