Attempting to download EVE client, .dmg is not recognized.

After searching numerous threads on here, I figured I would ask to see if this is either a constant problem with any Mac client or just the newest one. I've tried all the recommended work arounds for this (using DiskImage Mounter and attempted to repair with DiskUtility), but I keep getting the same error that the .dmg file isn't recognized on my Mac. I've also noticed that when I re-try the download, it freezes at a certain point, then starts back up and says it's finished when only about 2.15 GB is actually downloaded.

I've been wanting to get back into EVE for a while and start playing again, and if there's honestly no solution for this then it's going to be a huge let down that I have this account and there's nothing I can do with it.

Any other work around solutions/fixes are greatly appreciated!

I was having this problem too and found a solution.

What you need to do is to run the EVE repair tool and select the directory of the EVE file in the .dmg. That should fix whatever is corrupt and then you should be able to properly install and update the game.

Best,

Thanks for that, I would have tried it if I hadn't worked out my issue yesterday.

So, it was a bit of an odd thing, basically the problem was Sophos, the on access scanning seemed to cause a problem as the DMG was downloading.

My mac crashed and after I checked the log it showed Sophos in the frame, so I removed all sophos components and Bingo!
worked just fine :)

Now if I can solve the socket errors I could actually play.
Strange really my MBP works fine doesn't drop, my Imac drops oftens.
When I have them side by side working of the same wireless network its infuriating watching the imac bin out all the time.

I downloaded the tool and attempted to use it on the .dmg, but that didn't work. I'm confused by what you mean by "the directory of the EVE file in the .dmg." The .dmg is simply a file, no directories in it.

I'm getting a message that the .dmg file is corrupt so the install will not complete. Does anyone have a link to an older file or something that runs? Tech support hasn't answered and I'm tired of paying to sit here and do nothing.Sad

I'm getting the same problem where the DL stops at 2.5gbs is there any way around this?
