PAX Prime is rapidly approaching this year, it's less then a month away! On top of that, they've extended the craziness by an additional day. We've heard nothing from CCP yet, officially anyway, I figured I'd test the waters and see if any Capsuleers were interested in meeting up during this ridiculous weekend in Seattle.

I was thinking a couple of pints at one of the downtown bars, we'll all be downtown anyway. Locals and con-goers. If it escalates into something larger then that, then awesome, as long as it's not another SVDT-H. If not there are a bunch of other things that can be enjoyed after hours during PAX.

As far as last year unfortunately CCP was unable to make it, but a couple of Dev's showed up and we shared interesting stories over beer and pizza. The years before that, CCP has thrown some pretty killer parties. So here's to hoping they have a booth or a presence here this year.

psst... Unofficially though, I was informed that they were going to try make an appearance when I asked them at GDC down in SF this year.

I haven't been playing Eve long, but I've been going to PAX for a while now and I know that most developers that show up bring game swag: e.g. LoL PAX Skins. I'm curious what (if anything) CCP brought last time they had presence at PAX?

Last year when it was only the two devs, they brought a bunch of key chains and Guard's Stapler... unfortunately they left it in their hotel room haha!

As far as when CCP as a company comes to PAX, it's mostly just promoting EVE and Dust. They've done a handful of giveaways and they usually do Live Events and broadcast them on the Expo Floor and have some things for sale sometimes. Two years ago they gave out free plastic monocles which I thought was great because that was around the time that everyone was raging about the in game item.

It seems like this year is pretty up in the air so they might not have a presence at all, mind you they announced the Gamescom event less than a month before it happened.

I'm interested to see if CCP shows up to PAX this year.

Missed them entirely last year, but hopefully I'll find any of them that come this year!

Hope they will be there but haven't been able to find them listed either here (as going) or on any PAX lists. I'll be doing PAX and hockey in Everett (WHL warm ups) so will be busy weekend (well plus drinking roams lol)

Anyone know if CCP has any presence at all this weekend at PAX? Seems pretty quiet relative to Eve and DUST - not even devs commenting on being around.

Last year we had a good time at the bar and the two devs who showed up provided great conversation, beer and Eve souvenirs.

All you had to do was come with your monocle and you were rewarded.

Even without CCP folks here, anyone up for getting together over the weekend?

I was out at PAX today wondering if there was anything planned. Unfortunately, the convention wireless was so overloaded that it was impossible to get my phone and the forums to work together.

I'll take my Surface with me tomorrow since its antennas are much better than those in my phone, so if anyone else will be there tomorrow as well then just pick a time and a place and post it to the thread.

I'll also activate the suspect flag (AKA a black EVE tee-shirt that I got from Foxfour and Bro last year at PAX) which should make me stand out a little bit more if I show up on grid. Feel free to say hi.

P.S. I did catch a glance at someone in a Guristas shirt today, but I was talking to someone else at the time and didn't get a chance to go gank him.
