Hello Space Friends!

My name is Lyris Nairn and I have been playing EVE Online since 2008. I think that I have something to say that is relevant to many of you.

As you all know, there exist charges called "Warp Disrupt Probe" which mimic the effect of a Warp Disruptor within an area of effect around themselves. These are the ammunition used by Interdictors, commonly called "bubbles." These charges allow the Interdictor to "tackle" things in a large area by disrupting their warp drives. But there is no tool by which an Interdictor, or any other ship, can prevent those "tackled" guys from getting away by using their MicroWarpdrives (MWD)! After all, every PVP pilot knows that someone is not truly "tackled" unless they are also scrammed.

I think that CCP should introduce a Warp Scramble Probe which exactly mimics the Warp Disrupt Probe in its deployment (i.e., it deploys its effect in a sphere centered on the deployed charge), but which applies the Warp Scramble effect to targets caught in its area of effect: i.e., targets caught in the effect would not only be unable to activate their warp drives, but also unable to activate their MWD. This new ammunition would be used in exactly the same way as the Warp Disrupt Probe, being fired from an Interdiction Sphere Launcher module fitted to an Interdictor-class ship. As the Warp Scrambler effect is stronger than the Warp Disruptor effect, I think these charges should create a smaller radius effect than the Warp Disrupt Probe.

I think this is a great idea that would change the game in a positive way. Let me know what you think in the comments!

You're basically asking for the one counter to bubbles to be removed from bubbles, making bubbles uncounterable.

People think you're drunk because your idea is unbalanced. The fact that you're claiming not to be drunk points disturbingly at you not being able to comprehend why your idea is bad whilst sober and in your right mind which should be at least mildly concerning for you.

'Cos they're cloaked and can just skip away while cloaked.

I don't know what you're trying to prove here with these assaults on my perceived skill, 'cos I don't even do bubble camps. I'm a structure shooting FC. It just seems like it would be consistent with already existing things. Attacking my perceived skill at decloaking T3 ships will avail you nothing, as I make no claim to be any good at it. How about we address the topic rather than the person suggesting it, yes?

As much as I'd like your idea Lyris, cause I love my dictors, I think this could be a far too strong tool ending with less pvp than the other way around.

Don't get me wrong I really love this idea but I can't also think about it without considering from the other side of the road.
That one becomes really nasty for any type of traveler, a death trap with no escape possibility but to fight back or expect to find dumb people throwing scramble probes.

Why not some sort of middle ground? -if probes duration is 90sec make them scramble 15sec then disrupt like usually -hard coders hillinesses incoming
I don't really see a true positive effect on the long term. But it's probably just me.
