Well I couldnt think of a better thing to call it, so 'depithification' it is.

Basically, if you are fighting a Guristas battleship in a pocket, why not call it a Guristas battleship?

Why does it have to be a 'Pith' battleship?

Is there any purpose to these pith/core/apis ect. names of ships? Other than, of course, to kill new players who dont memorise which Latin name corresponds to which normal faction and go into fight with Piths thinking they are Angels, tanked for Angels, and wondering why they are staring at a pod within seconds?

If it is anything to do with deadspace vs asteroid belt, well surely if a player does not know whether they are flying in a mission zone or an asteroid belt, they deserve to lose thier ship.

in a mission, the agent is nice enough to say Gurista. Clink on the icon gives he whole story about the rat race. No icon in the mission write up means drones, mercs or its a mixed mission. Omni tank and bring a mix of ammo (or if caldari in say tengu, bring the usual kinetics to cover all the bases) if too lazy to use eve survival for the answer. Load up and shoot them. name does not matter at that point.

If an explorer you may notice in time faction space favors faction rats too. For whatever reason gurista chose to make caldari their enemy a long time ago. Angels like to shoot rusty minmatar ships, etc.

If low/0.0 resident and not knowing after day what rats your new home has.....you have issues. If you had it in mind to ninjya rat in delve....generally it be a good idea to google what rats are in delve before flying there if unknown to you.
