I predict that those who will do their homeworks and won't go to the forum to get told wrong information (on purpose! Pirate) will have a much bigger success than those who won't.

Prices already spiked, then they'll fall, and then before long they'll return to exactly whatever margin above build cost they were before.

You know, just like any other time when a ship was rebalanced and only its stats were touched.

thank you except for the sarcastic and unnecessary last part. i do not really play the market game and thought perhaps since it may have a higher demand post patch it may alter its price permanently

high demand = higher price
higher price = more people making them
higher supply = lower price

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

Unless they become widely used in PVP or have their material requirements changed I think they will spike due to speculation up to the patch then return to whatever margin is set by the people that build them a couple months after.

Marauders are already expensive and you can't really insure them since they are T2 ships. I really don't see them being used in PVP much since dreads/carriers will cost about the same and can be insured since they are T1.

It will completely crash after the hype.

The falloff bonus is awful for rails, it gets competently static in tank mode(hilarious bad with blasters) and it will deal even less damage thx to the nerf to the drone bay and the removal of the 90% web bonus(what was incredible handy at close range both for blaster and rail/sentry setups).

Overall it was the worst marauder before, it will be even worse after the changes, since it got no 100km range close range turret or CMs to help it out and loses 120 dps worth of sentry's.

Also a lot of people that currently use them in Incursions will probably throw them on the market after the changes, since slow brick without 90% web is fairly useless compared to the Vindicator for mwd fleets.

I'd call the last part pragmatic. Most of the changes are wishful thinking changes. EVE is hardwired to efficiency and T2 hulls are not an efficient use of ISK. Contrary to the forums, most players aren't sitting on a quarter trillion ISK.

If I had a quarter trillion ISK, I'd have bought up Vindicators, not Kronoses, and I'd be holding them until patch day.

The changes aren't final. They aren't even 2nd round. I wouldn't bet on the Kronos exiting this process without another revision.

I don't know Rise and Fozzie much better than the rest of you, dispite them both being ex-alliance mates of mine, but what I do know is they aren't stupid and they do understand that balancing EVEs ships is a marathon not a sprint.

And, there's the new revision. 82.5% webs instead of the proposed 60%, and words to the effect of '90% webs are under review'.

Glad I didn't invest in Vindicators.
