Bounty payment from *empty* pods

So I manage to pod someone with a juicy 2bil bounty on his head, and yet I have nothing to show.

While nothing of value was destroyed - one factor has not been considered: the cost of the clone.

Our char-sheet clearly shows what clone we are in, and medical clones come at a fixed price.

Why not give us a 20% payout of the clone costs when we pod someone ?

Best case scenario you pop Dr Caymus and bag 12.6mil.

Considering how many pods you pop that should be an inconsequential sum to you.

That said this is a decent idea imho.

I know it probably wont give us a huge income, but at least our ammo was paid for *laughs*

I agree, but the entire bounty system is just another broken game mechanic in Eve. Bounties currently are a joke. Why not pay out a bounty equal to the loss incurred (assuming the targets bounty exceeds the value of the ship loss)

Agreed, clone cost should be included in pod killmails.

And as there is no way to exploit or abuse the mechanic as clone costs are fixed and they drop nothing, a better ratio than 20% would be appreciated.

True that - as long as it's not too much...

They're not, actually.

Because the value of the ship lost can be meta gamed by certain interested parties. Paying a small percentage makes this not worth it; paying out the full value makes it far more interesting to concoct ways to scam the system and extract the full sum of your bounty using an alt or friend, at relatively little actual loss to yourself.

In the left hand you have "Making money"
In the right hand you have "Collecting tears"

You can only choose one. This is eve.

I approve of this, but when bounties are looked at again the very first thing that needs doing is a "first in, first out" policy on bounties collected. I should only receive a notification when the bounty that *I* placed is claimed. Why should I care about the bounties other people placed!?

Good idea, approved. And the idea for the pay being more than 20% has some merit to it too.

Sable's Ammo Shop at Alentene V - Moon 4 - Duvolle Labs Factory. Hybrid charges, Projectile ammo, Missiles, Drones, Ships, Need'em? We have'em, at affordable prices. Pop in at our Ammo Shop in sunny Alentene.

Because this could be exploited by alts/corpmates killing a high bounty bro to get his bounty down.

Paying only a fraction of the value eliminates the incentive to self kill.
