So... new hole bro here to share my story.

I decide to go run some anoms in my neighboring c2- the info on the hole said it was reaching the end of its natural life cycle, which for this particular hole means I have somewhere between 4hrs 15m and 15m... great, I'll just park an alt on one side of the hole, cloak, and check its status every 5-10 minutes.

I'm sure you all know what happens next- during the second wave of my first anom, I tab over to check the hole and it's gone. WTF?!? I say to myself. The wiki told me I would get a "This wormhole is on the verge of dissipating into the ether" message before it collapsed! its only been 5 minutes! wtf?

I ask in WHadvice, and apparently this warning was never implemented. I know I should always have a probe scanner. I know this. But can I not rely on the information in the official CCP wiki to be correct?

If anyone has an exit in J103408... you can have all my <3333's in return, and probly some isks. ...or if you want to just come blow me up I'll be waiting.

In the mean time- please CCP... either implement this message or make the information in your wiki correct. X

You touched my heart. If I find that hole I would help you for free. But I'm not going to hunt for it. Just keeping an eye for it.

Appreciated. I'm just curious- how would they be able to help? They don't seem to be the inhabitants- are they just extremely prodigious probers? (as their name might imply)

You think there is any chance of reimbursement considering the bad information? I certainly don't expect it, but should I even bother petitioning?

Your first mistake was reading the eve wiki.
Your second mistake was believing anything on it.
Your third mistake was bringing an alt SPECIFICALLY to watch a WH in a CLOAKED ship and NOT have it in a probing ship. Seriously, that just makes no sense at all...

Well I think its great that we have people who are willing to give wormhoels a try, need more people like you!

It pretty much comes down to, if a wormhole is "Reaching the end of its natural lifetime", or what we wormholers like to refer to as "EOL", you should re-consider entering it, especially if you do not know when it went EOL exactly!

You learned the leasson the hard way, I am sure it will stick. Hopefully you will continue your endavours in W-space.

For time collapse:
• "Life cycle has not begun" - This means you've found a wormhole just as it is forming, and it will spawn in a minute or two.
• "Probably won't last another day" - This is the wormhole's main life, and has over 25% of it's total time remaining.
• "Reaching the end of its natural lifetime" - This signifies the wormhole will be naturally collapsing soon, having less than 25% of it's total time remaining. Collapse is imminent.

This wormhole is on the verge of dissipating into the ether. = IS REAL... every wormhole in Bobs Garden has this wonderful feature. Also having an Alt on the Wormhole to watch it vanish is a solid plan. So you know exactly when to stop.

Also may i ask the obvious question? If you were farming in the C2... WHY DA PHUK didn't you scan out the Highsec exit (or atleast the Nullsec).
