Need advice on BPO research

OK so I'm working on getting my BPO collection researched up to have higher ME's. I have maxed the reliant skills and am doing my research from a mobile lab.

Is there any other way I can go about getting the time it takes to get this ME research down lower? I have the mid range hardwire implant plugged in also (I don't have cybernetics 5 on the research character yet).

If there is any other way besides having to go to a system in null with an alliance with Sov or whatever (not going to happen...this is a carebear thing)?

If your interested I'm researching rig BPO's for a project with a few friends to mess around and don't want to have to wait 20+ days for them to be ready.

You can't lower the time any more than max skills, POS usage and implants.
But you can do parallel research!

Edit: oh yeah: don't overresearch your prints

Yeah only wanting to go to 20 ME and around 6-10 PE on the large rig BPO's, any more and the returns are just not worth the loss of potential profits.

Would getting say 3-5 BPO's researched to 20ME/10 PE and then using an alt to just make max run copies be a better option than getting hold of say 10-20 researched BPO's? Or would it be just a waste of a potentially useful collection of research/invention slots?

IIRC, 20 ME is overkill on large rigs. They top out at 15-17 or somewhere near there.

as a rule of thumb, copying takes twice as long as building.

http://zofu.no-ip.de/bpo - this is your friend, lists ME, PE, times and stuff.

I put my small + medium rigs to PE 16, and am slowly working through the large up to PE 8, maybe when I've got them all to 8, and have nothing else for PE research then I might take them another 8, but I've got plenty of stuff to keep me busy.

I wish I'd have had a lab ages ago, I'd have done the large rigs then instead of taking ages now after they increased the time, but meh I'm not in a rush Lol
