Can anyone suggest a good Gallente FW corp

Looking to join a good Gallente FW corp. I posted in the corporation recruitment thread, but I know a lot of people from FW frequent this section of the forums so I wanted to mention it here as well. Figured there was a higher chance of some FW people that doesn't usually recruit for their corp coming across it and recommending some groups to look at.

Thread with detailed info is located on the recruitment forum:

You should look at qcats or justified chaos ( possibly spelled with k?) . These are the best corps in gallente

Just because i am blond does not make me stoopid !

Would be a good fit except for the gcc thing. We are filthy pirates and shoot everything that isn't blue.

Good luck on your search.

My endorsement goes to Order of the Black Dagger. Very good guys.

Heads up, though, they expect all recruits to spell competently.

You're going to have a hard time maintaining positive sec status, unless you're just looking for someplace that you can farm missions or spin plexes. You can stay above -5 easily enough if you like to rat and run exploration complexes, (or want to buy tags) but any serious lowsec PvP corp is probably going to make staying positive a pipe dream.

Correct spelling? Crap. I'd never pass that hurdle. =X

Hay that's not nice. I'll tell my mum on you.

Seriously though, if you live in lowsec you will eventually end up in a situation where you either have to shoot a neutral or wait for them to aggress first. If this is in a gang situation, picking option 2 is suicidal.

For a while I tried to keep my sec status nicer than -4.9 for exactly this (minor) tactical advantage, but it's more boring than it's worth.

I used to be a positive sec, anti pirate carebear. I even oversaw a split of my corporation over the issue between pirates and non-pirates.

I look back on it and really - too much pvp is lost trying to not be a pirate.

You can look into Genstar as well if you'd like. Although we're smaller then Justk and Qcats, we're quite active and our main timezone meshes well with yours.

Contact Burtakus or Nomad Accentra if you're interested.

Maintaining a sec status under -2.5 is very easy. You can easily rat for sec tags or buy them off the market. But asking for an active lowsec PVP corp that will not go GCC is unreasonable.Especially in light of the fact that available WTs do come and go based on warzone control.

We are US TZ heavy and ranked 9th most active pvp corp in all of New Eden in July

From your query;

I would like to say that we've lead more bunker busting fleets since our push for t2/t3 than any other corp out there. Black Fox, VICAM, and DRACO have also had FCs leading BB fleets. So all those whiny greedy militia pilots and mission running bears can thank these corps :)

Regardless, good luck.

fw seems relatively dead atm

the main alliance/fcs of calmil up and left (ragequit?) taking a good chunk of the players with them

some gentleman named viktor hark keeps taking fleets out but tbh they just get dunked by the first pirate fleet that stumbles across them

yes, galmil is "winning" at the moment, but at the cost of having not very many targets to choose from

on one hand we have a few cal plex farmers here and there, on the other hand there are mean pirates who are way more organized than the militia

of course you could always set up shop near brave newbies, but so many people are already doing it... brave newbies only have so many holes to fill doyouknowwhatiamsaying?

tldr: join xmeta, or dont, i couldnt care less

...

All Of This Has Happened Before And Will Happen Again

As for good galmil corps, if you want to remain positive sec status, stay out of fw.
I wouldn't want to have someone waiting for neutrals to shoot first in fleet with me.

It's kinda funny that even when Calmil had more numbers than they did now, nobody wanted to fight them. But when they don't have the numbers, people say Calmil is dead. I just don't get that logic. August/September is usually a slow month for everyone.

Anyway, give it 30-60 days and I'm sure some nullsec entity will come in and join their side. Happens all the time.

Eager as I was as a young-un I clicked the recruitment thread for Justified Chaos and (once again) read:

20 million+ SP.

:(

Being new to EVE is great, but joining a more established corporation seems rough.

Le sigh. I will be ready somewhere next year I guess.

Good looking and focussed advertisement though, +1 there.

FW life is hard, it's unforgiving and brutal. It penalizes the younger players and makes victims of us all. But there is hope for the young Gallente FW player.

Young players who are willing to join fleets, get on comms, and go kill stuff usually find a home pretty quickly.

I'd love to get in a fleet, but how exactly does it happen?

Are there FW fleets? I mean, do the corps mix and go out there? Excuse my unawareness, but I'm only a day or so in!

Getting my feet wet is really what I'm after, see what it's all about, then see what corps are open for recruitment, but Deen has been so kind to recommend me a few.
I will most certainly keep my eye open for them.

Open up fleet finder and see if there is a fleet up. If so, join it. And yeah, there's open militia fleets running most of the time. Many of our FCs even welcome spies since they can tell our opponents where we are so we don't have to roam 20 jumps looking for a fight.

After getting in a few fleets, and getting to know some people, I'm sure you'll find a corp that suits you.

I think you'll find VICAM is a rather good choice, since we are integrated with the militia, and only require people to go GCC when the FC orders it, which won't be very often unless you've joined someone else's roaming gang dedicated to finding someone, anyone to kill.

I could certainly use another experienced pilot to help train the new people I've been recruiting who are interested and active. but not the most experienced pvpers.
