Would you mind explaining this quote from the shield vs armour page on your site;

"Generally if you want to fly a shield ship, you should take one you'd normally armor tank, just because you'll get way more dps out of it than on any ship that's meant to shield tank.."

The author favours armour and loathes missiles and then proceeds to give an example where the shield version of the same ship does higher damage (both turret fits) and for some reason it has longer optimal range and comparative buffers.


Perhaps it can be written as "Look at and use the bonuses that your ship gets, where there is no armour or shield mentioned look at the mid and low slot count and your base resists and use logic. There can be instances where it can be hilarious to take a comedy fit and see what happens"

If you had read from the start of the fitting to the end it would have made sense, it's a chapter and you read one page.

Yes idd, i favour armor, and so does most of eve that doesn't run missions.
Missiles are bad because they have to fly to your opponent and might not even apply full damage due to the signature radius.


No that would be a bad way to look at it.
That would mean every brutix should be active armor tanked, and that's not really the case.
