it's best to just assume everyone is hostile. purple but from allied militia? set red and shoot first. if someone's on my accel gate i'll stay within optimal of the beacon if it's a fight i think i can win, otherwise i'll burn out to the edge of button range and align to warp if they're approaching at tackle speed.
